I got a schweet notebook today after doing quite a bit of extensive research to figure out what was out there, what I really wanted, and how much I was willing to spend. The result- I am now the proud owner of a 12.1 inch screen, 4.1 pound, Toshiba Satellite U205 series. It has 1 gig memory, 100 gig hard drive, 3+ hrs of battery life, a CD and DVD RW drive, memory card reader, and WIFI capabilities. The finger scanner is cute and kind of a nice touch.
The only thing I could complain about was it not having integrated Bluetooth technology. But, as I scrunch my eyebrows, I realize that I can just zip a little Bluetooth USB connected adapter in any of my 3 USB ports. If my lack of Bluetooth gets me down, I can just remember all the neato accessories that I got for the little monster, including a sleek Targus bag and a combo wireless number key pad and mouse. I’m more salivating than anything.
It might not be top of the line, but I am adequately satisfied that I didn’t break the bank or get a 500 dollar piece of junk I’d have to get rid of because it kept overheating and shutting off.
