So if you want 3 extra controllers you have to pay almost the price of the Ps3 anyway

£75 for a Controller?! Are they insane?!

WOW I;7'm not feeling the love here... The controllers are £45 WITH the nunchuck. The US price is withOUT tax which makes the prices slightly more even. But anyway, I plan on getting a Wii, 2 extra controllers with nunchucks, a VC controller, 3 games (and Wii sports but that is included so 4 if you count that). That alone equals a HUGE £405. Wait a sec...That's 20 quid cheaper than the PS3 with absolutely no accessories or games etc. Do the same deal with PS3 and you will then feel betrayed by Sony and realise how great Nintendo is. Think, With Wii, you can go online, read the news, checkthe weather, create a Mii, control games in a new way, play innovative new games and there is still stuff unannounced. The PS3 plays blu ray discs. Wait a sec...(again...sorry for all the waiting ) a blu ray disc is a more expensive dvd which hold more space; which will be used for....nothing. Games are not going to triple in size from what they already are....dvds are fine. Also, blu ray discs will make games more expensive.

And did I mention that the £405 that I am spending is discluding any bundles or deals of any kind which ALWAYS join a system at launch (eg Wii +3 games saves you £20 etc).

*phew* you better appreciate that comment coz that took ages

The Wii sports is what bumps up the price £30

You know what else would make you feel better? Giving me a present

I really hope they lower the price of the Wiimote+Nunchuk a little... I'm used to being ripped off (as with all us brits) but that much for a basic controller is a joke.

Basic controller? Never heard that one before... >_>

Zor4fins, the Wii controller is cutting edge stuff. Its loaded with motion sensor stuff and lots of tasty things. We mite be paying a little more than the americans (as usual) but its worth it. Ninty have opened the door for new games with fresh features to be created.

Yum, tasty.

When I meant 'basic' I meant 'standard' i.e. the Wiimote and Nunchuk. Yes, I agree that the controller is cutting edge (quite literally If you're playing Red Steel ) but it still seems a bit pricey, especially when most people will need 1,2 or even 3 extra controllers.

well, the wireless 360 controller is only $10 less but I agree it isnt exactly cheap....
