Yesterday I obtained the new Linkin Park album Minutes to Midnight. Judging by the way that LP had described it, I didn't expect it to be as amazing as Meteora or Reanimation/Hybrid Theory, however I didn't realize that it would be this bad. In an effort to break away from the Nu-metal genre LP have simply stepped into an even more mainstream pop-rock style which lacks the emotion, ingenuity or raw power of their previous efforts. They've simply moved form an (admittedly) dying genre into a crap one.

The songs on the new album are generic, they conform to recent pop-rock trends and they are not as engaging as other LP classics. There is a recurrent theme of truth and lies throughout the album which is fine at first but quickly becomes grating. I didn't wait four years just to get and album like this. Unless LP return to their metal roots then they might as well not bother releasing any more new material.

It seems to have died down a bit around GS over the last couple of months. Maybe it's cos' everyone's got a PS3 and hasn't got time to hang around here any more.

CUMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Some people just don't have opinions. Like zenarbitraitor2.
zenarbitraitor2 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could zenarbitraitor2 possibly have for not rating a single film?
