Today, without even realizing it (really, I'm not making this bit up), I posted in System Wars for the first time....

...and, a minute later, for the second time.

It's generally accepted that SW is the lowest of the low, sanctuary of the fanboys etc. All I wanted to be was an island of sanity in the sea of idiocy, but at the end of the day I know it won't make a difference. Those people are beyond help.

Of couse, what's worse is that I'm now technically one of "those people". Hoo boy.

For the record, this is what I responded too:

Would you buy a PS3 if it was like this?

1.Got rid of the cell and RSX- Power would be somewhere in between the wii and the 360.

2.Got rid of blu-ray and HD- Expensive and useless. Very few people have HDTV right now anyway.

3.Got rid of blue-tooth- Last time I checked 2.4ghz was just a wireless as blue-tooth is. And it's cheaper too.

4.Got rid of motion sensor, brought back rumble- nuff said.

5.Put a mic in the controller- kinda like how the DS has a mic built in, the PS3 would have one in the controller. You would use this instead of buying a dorky head set. You would hear other people via your TV's speakers.

6.Built in eyetoy- They already spent the money on developing it; why let it go to waste? The camera would be built into the system and could be used for games, as a web cam, or for taking pictures of yourself.-------

7.Strike a deal with myspace- I know this sounds kinda dumb, but if sony wants to compete with xbox live then they're gonna have to bring out the big guns; and right now myspace is a freakin tank. Instead of a gamertag, you would have a "myspace tag". Your myspace would have all your gaming info on it, like your games, clans, highscores, ect. This would be a huge publicity stunt and would attract a lot of attention.

8.one price, one color(black), $350

Conclusion
This plan would get rid of a lot of useless/expensive features and replace them with some functional innovations that actually have a bearing on gaming. It would also give them something to compete with xbox live (maybe even surpass it) and could be done for a lot cheaper. So would you buy this? If not, what would sony have to change in order for you to buy one?

Here's the link for the full debacle. Shockingly, some people agreed with this guy. Hoo-boy again.

"By the gods...what have I become?"

Oh, in case it wasn't totaally obvious, the reason I object to rhis guy is basically because he's a cheapskate emo kid who has no concept of paying a fair price for what he gets, no concept of future-proofing a console for the next generation of home entertainment, and thinks that MySpace is a "cool" place where you make "friends", who are actually just other emo teenagers pretending to be someone who they aren't.

Ok cool list of why not to buy a PS3, but I think that this guy is what my friends and I call a "Nintendo maniac", not that there is nothing with Nintendo, but they think that only one people should be taking all the money from the video game industries, what i mean is that if SONY hasn't decided to create the revolutionary, in 1996, Play Station then Nintendo would not have to worry about the industry and we would not have play, just to name something "crash bandincoot", ok Mario is cool and stuff but the people cannot stick with only one thing and that's it, no i say that if SONY whant's a camera on the controller (not real) they should make it, and if I whant to buy it with or without an HDTV is my choice to do so.
PS:sorry people sooner or later the PS3 will have a better on-line interface than Xbox-live, it is a fact, and I have an X360 but it is just competition, marketing or what you like to call it.
