I got the God of War Collection for the PS3 recently, and even though I haven't beaten even GOW1 yet (I've been at a family reunion), I was itching to type in the redeemable code that came with the games so that I could play the GOW3 demo. It's pretty sweet, and I know that most people probably don't have access to it, but if any of you have played it, you probably know what I'm talking about. The epicness of just the demo gives me the itch to jump forward in time to March. I'm certainly planning on indulging in the first two games as soon as I get home. Even by today's standards, these games that are three to five years old are still great. Even though it limited my video gameage, I did have fun at my uncle's lake house for Thanksgiving. Obviously, I'm thankful for family, food, and, well, games. Zeus bless America!

Well I think it's official. As of now, I am only keeping my Wii for Brawl.

So yesterday I picked up the God of War Collection, and yes it is pretty darn awesome, but I digress. The real point of this story is that having these two games ported over from remastered from the PS2 got me to thinking. Since Sony cut off back play capability from the PS3 a while back, and many classic PSOne titles are available for download (Metal Gear Solid comes to mind), Sony needs to be porting more PS2 classics to the PS3. They had the right idea with GOW. I think they should bring a few more over, namely the Metal Gear Solid series and Kingdom Hearts series. I myself never played Metal Gear Solid until a few months ago when I downloaded the first from the PSStore. However, even though I have that, I can't play 2 or 3 because, well, I don't have my PS2 any longer. That leaves me unable, or unwilling, to play MGS4, which I really want to play. The Kingdom Hearts point is just because, well, those games are awesome. While I'm on that subject, I'm getting kind of PO'ed that the franchise is moving towards portability. HORRIBLE IDEA. It's a Playstation franchise, why on earth is it on the DS now? I don't want to play Kingdom Hearts on the DS or the PSP for that matter! Birth By Sleep is going to be a PSP title, and I loathe that fact. Sony...I love ya, but...come on.
