Am I trying to hard with my title names? I dunno I always like to interject a mix of words to things currently going on just to keep it original because "Life Update #29527857" sounds boring.

So if you haven't learned by now, I'm currently playing Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge right now for my gaming moods. However I admit ME is getting more of my time. It's partly because

1. I want to finally complete the game

2. I want to redo another game

3. I want to have it beaten by the time ME 2 is out!

So while playing Mass Effect I've come to realize just how freak'n awesome this game is. Seriously, I know I seem late, but this game is just wonderful. I still think the dialog wheel system is fantastic. It really makes talks more engaging and it's nice to have a choice on how to react and act on situations. I've got 30 hours in the game, I'm at level 37 last I checked, and I honestly don't know how far I am off in the game but

***SPOILER***

So far the story is really ramping up and I dunno how far I am to the finish, but I am taking my time doing lots of sidequests, doing lots of exploring. I know most of the sidequest are generally "Go to planet X in Sector Y of the Z system and find this small building, enter it and destroy all that live inside it" but reading the text about the mission, and kind of knowing WHY you're going there helps keep it a little more interesting. Still I'd LOVE to see more variety in the missions instead of them all boiling down to firefights in a small room.

I'm not sure if the game uses a auto level system or not for the enemies, but because of all my grinding and side missions I have found the story missions to be quite easy too. I take down bosses down pretty quickly and fire fights with side missions last no more than a minute at most to be frank. So it does keep it a bit dull on that part, but overall the game is still fantastic. The powers, the story, the TALKING even with other characters is just so engaging. I installed the game onto the 360's HDD and it runs a lot smoother I notice. Less pop-ins, faster load times, and somewhat smootehr but still the game has it's consistent framerate issues which aren't that bad to be frank, but irksome nonetheless. (Almost makes me wish I could play the PC version )

Now I know this mostly was dedicated to Mass Effect so a small portion will be my upcoming summer days and plans.

1. Mirror's Edge, LOVE this game. Really challenging but I love trying to find new routes and increase my speed runs, I want to play the story mode again on Hard and do more Time Trials which are fun! I really do hate the long load times though when playing the game, because when I have to restart for one mistake on a speed run it really does add up and gets a bit irksome.

2. Summer is going great so far, spending time with my gf and friends. Nothing new has really happened but I'll be taking her to the beach for the first time this Wednesday, and we've got other summer plans we'd like to do as well as upcoming events like the FF concert in San Francisco that we'll be going too.

3. Summer has been pretty much filled with swimming, going out, playing games and the occasional nap. Yesterday me and my gf napped in the park, it was so nice out you'd think we'd do other things, but when we got there a short nap just hit us both. Still we played some frisbee and that was fun and ate some good food for a picnic at least.

4. I start school TOMORROW, that's Tuesday in case you're wondering. I'm excited, I can't wait to start, but I do need to get my supplies. I think I'll get them after tomorrow. Since the first days are usually syllabuses and what not so I will wait to see WHAT I need. It was a short summer though, only three weeks, but that's expected when you go to a trade school like DeVry.

That concludes my lengthy blog, hope you all are doing well. Sorry for the long blogs, I hope you're all having a good summer too.

I'm only ten hours in, at level twenty-something, and on the last level. I guess the majority of the game is really in the sidequests, huh? I've tried a couple of them, but they fail to interest me. I'd much rather find out how the game ends!

I'm glad I was able to resolve that situation, too. Goes to show how important leveling up Charm really is.

Yeah, I hear the main quests are short and you can beat the game rather quickly, and I will admit the side quests are all pretty much the same. like 80% are just the same thing, so it does get a bit boring I suppose, because in most of those sidequests you can't resolve conflict with talking like you do in main quests or some sidequests... Still it's worthwhile I believe to visit them. I get lots of loot, useless ones, but I sell it, make lots of money, visit shops, buy new better items, and just last night I reached the "save over 1 million credits" achievement.

Mass Effect is without doubt,my favorite game this generation so far.
I just finished my third playthrough and it's still freaking amazing. Both my characters are on Level 60 as well.
The dialogue, morality and even the shooter-based gameplay is awesome. Only the Mako sequences are annoying but still that's just a small thorn in one fantastic joyride.

liked Mirror's Edge? I thought about it, but I played the demo and I dunno, it didn't sell me. It looked like a game with all the potential, but not the delivery And I wanna play Mass Effect, but I have no real gaming PC...and I can't justify the purchase of a 360...not now anyways Have fun with skool. What are you majoring in?

@videogamegirl05 : Yeah, I think Mirror's Edge isn't a game for everyone. For one, it's quite short, and second it's a game that will basically become a game of memory. You never have a clear indication of where to run to and it just bogs down to trial and error for the most part, but I still enjoy it. It does have potential to be better though and I hope the sequel will fix any problems with the first. Also Mass Effect is a great game. Enjoying it thoroughly, I kind of wish I could try the PC version. I hear it's pretty different in some ways and thought it would be cool, but I like the slow pace feel of the combat on the 360 too so it's ok. As for me, I'm majoring in Game and Simulation Programming (GSP) at DeVry. I really like school and I can't wait to start my first GSP class too. It will be soon, but the school itself is great. I really love it. I'm starting to make some new friends and meet some new people there and I look forward to the years ahead. I just hope I can land myself a job with a more steadier pay soon.

I've been telling my nongamer friends about what it is like for you to sell stuff at Dodger games, they were fascinated, haha. Just thought I'd share

@videogamegirl05 : Thanks Ash, I think I will. I cannot wait to start my first class in my major. I've programmed before a bit, so I think I'll be prepared... or I hope so. Also, Domo huh? I have heard of that thing, I know a few people who love it too.

@horseyjesse : You did huh? haha, wow that's cool. How did that conversation come about?
