Jason X, without a doubt, is the worst movie ever made. The idea seems promising: the most notorious serial killer on Earth now get to kick some butt in space. Space horror could be great if done right (Alien series, Event Horizon) but Jason X achieved another kind of fame by operating at the other end of spectrum. It is so bad, it is actually fun to watch.

The film demonstrates its capability of campiness from early on, as for no apparent reason all the girls onboard the space ship wear their typical I-Know-What-You-Did-Last-Summer outfit to show off their wonderful figure. The nanites special effect was pretty cool, but that would be the end of coolnes as far as visual is concerned. The rest of the film takes place in generic sci-fi corridors that express no artistic direction whatsoever. The horror device used in the film is downright predictable, and the violence isn't particularly well done. there were blood, but not much, and killing methods really aren't interesting at all. The cyborg female warrior vs. Jason was possibly the worst moment in cinema history; the fighting was cheapy shot, and the moves and winks could frighten small children and induce vomit for adults.

To its credit, the first kill commenced by Jason was absolutely beautiful, as Jason smash a girl's head to tiny bits after speed-froze it in liquid-nitro-something. It is a shame that the rest of the movie could not share the fine quality of this 15 second of glory.
