Ok, forgive my referance to Nhyms video, but this is something that I've been thinking about ever since the new hero class was announced and still stumps me.
How is Blizzard going to ensure that every single server won't be absolutely crowded with Deathknights upon the game's launch. The answer? They won't.
Think about it, the people that will roll a Deathknight fall into two groups:
- People who just hit 55
These are lazy people who have come up with the genious idea of just leveling up their characters to level 55 so that they can play a Deathknight in time for the expansion and give up on whatever other class they might have been playing beforehand. These people have the most chance of actually sticking with their Deathknight once it has been created since "Why bother going back to my old class with old and dated leveling gear along with bad talent specs (etc...) when I could go get a fresh start with the new and cool Deathknight.
- People who hit 70 already
These are the ones that are already prepared to go into Northrend by the time the expansion arrives at their door - great! Except, they'll probally end up heading into Northrend, maybe getting 2 levels and doing some of the new instances out of pure interest and greed for new gear and then will probally sit back and make a Deathknight to try and milk their latest purchase. These are the people who will realise that the role of a Deathknight probally suits Northrend a lot more and since Blizzard made it easier to level from 60-70 now it shouldn't take long to get him/her there.
It just doesn't seem right to me. Picture this for example:
1) Battlegrounds (Particually level 60ish) are filled to the brim with Deathknights.
2) Any zones level 57-61 completely crowded with Deathknights.
3) Major cities (Stormwind, Ironforge, Ogrimmar, Undercity) - Yep, crowded with Deathknights.
4) Because of the large amount of chaos being insued by all these Deathknights, it will also mean that for people between the levels of 57-65 (unless your a healer class) - Good luck trying to find any party members for instances! "Tank LFG, DPS LFG, LOLKNIGHT LFG"

Ok, maybe I'm being a bit negative here. I love the new Deathknight class as a concept, I really do. I just think that blizzard adding the tag of "Heroclass" on the side of it and giving you 55 levels for free isn't really helping things.
