I saw him on Days of Our Lives when I was little, but hey, it was a soap opera, so there was no way I could judge him on that alone. Then I saw him on the first few episodes of Supernatural. Then I borrowed all four seasons of Smallville from my cousin [completely by coincidence, I promise!] and fell head over heels in love.
His voice alone is enough to make my knees weak. It's kind of a deep, honey-over-gravel, thick and dark. He's an absolutely amazing actor, which he finally gets to show some aspect of in Supernatural. He doesn't even appear to be acting. He IS the character of Dean Winchester. I mean, not the kind of slutty gross guy, the beautiful, deep guy underneath. In a few particularly moving scenes from the show, you can watch him falling apart while keeping enough composure to not burst into tears on the spot.
I pretty much live for those moments. Every facial reaction melts me. Every hand gesture, every eyebrow raise, every time his lips move just so when he enunciates in that beautiful Texan accent.. I am hanging on by a thread, trying not to scream, or cry, or die or all of the aforementioned.
I am going to have to admit it here, to you kindly folks: Jensen Ackles turns me into a total fangirl.
I believe I said it best when I was telling my little sister, "Lots of hot guys come out of Texas. I don't know what it is, but it's like a rodeo miracle."
Keep it up, Jensen. I'll be following your career for the rest of my life.
