So it's been a while! I'm currently having most of my time taken up with studying for my PhD. No easing into this one, it was straight in and hitting the books hard. Eep! So I'm sorry if I've not been keeping up to date with peoples blogs.
In between the struggle to understand the complexities of archaeological theory and such like, I have been amusing my self with Oblivion. I'm actually progressing through the game a lot better than when I used to play Morrowind (which I still haven't completed yet!) - the journal seems to be a lot better and well structured, which means you don't get as lost in it when you come back after a couple of weeks.
I'm about a third of the way through the main quest, though I have been completing several other quest lines in the meantime to level my character a bit and get some neat loot - including the Sword of Umbra which makes putting the smack down on everything a lot easier. But I am enjoying the game immensely. And the expansion packs add a lot to the game as well.
As for other games, most are on the back burner. I will be getting Gears 2 when it arrives, and I'm tempted by Fable 2, but Oblivion is fulfilling my RPG needs right now. I'd also like to play Dead Space, but I have a feeling I'll fill my trousers after less than an hour and never play it again,
. Not so good for a £40 game!

Have you heard anything about Fallout 3? Doesn't that come out anytime soon in the UK also?

I've got Fallout 3 pre-ordered so I'm patiently waiting for the 31st October to arrive (damn UK release dates).
