Just in case some of you haven't noticed, the retirement function is down on people guides ... I haven't changed my mind or anything. 
Once they put it back up I will give all of you the guides I promised to pass on to new editors.

Maybe that's why I can't assign any Trusted User slots either.

Mac, it may be the reason. It allowed me to assign one yesterday - but I haven't tried since then.
