Dave Meltzer stated in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Shawn Michaels' knees are in the worst shape that they have ever been. Whether or not this has anything to do with WWE not giving him a title run is unknown, although there has to be concern as to the longevity of his career at this point.

As much as I hate to see him retire, if it's better for his health, then retiring won't be all bad. Who knows, he could have one of those "Austin-like" one-night bombastic return one day.

There is one question. What about a student vs. teacher feud? There was supposly a feud between Shawn Michaels and one of his students he trainned. But that didn't happened.

Sucks that he has to retire, but hey, if it's for his health, then go right ahead.

Question is, what's the WWE gonna do if he leaves? They ain't got no more legit main eventers to fill Hickenbottom's place.

I'm not surprised. He came back early for his friend. But I seem him hanging it up soon.

I agree, lightning. Next year, it seems that HBK, Flair and maybe even Taker are gonna retire.

AS much as I hate Shawn and Taker retiring it's for the good of their health that they do. Maybe he can do a Paul London and Brian Kendrick feud that will give his students a great push.
Wonder if he will ever taste gold before he leaves?

I'll be happy. They're not that good anymore, IMO.
