So yea, i'm buggering off to ontario for 3 weeks, be back in september when i'm going to be upgrading my pc. i'm sure there will be headachs, but the final product will be worth it. just in time for the fall gaming rush. so, yea, that's pretty much it.

Well, i went to pick up my computer from the shop yesterday, shocked to find that it cost $84 in total. I asked the guy about what had happened, apperantly my computer had been infected with some sort of brand-new ultra intelligent virus that no program could detect or remove. so my HD was reformated, and all my old data was put into a file in the HD. so i reluctantly pay the bill, take the comp. home, and start it up. i open the folder labled "old hd" and find all my old Data, the only problem is that none of my games work any more. (with the exception of mass effect). so now i have to delete all the game files, defrag the HD, and reinstall them, as well as all the other programs i had downloaded and installed for various purposes (Fraps, Nhancer, atituner, etc.). luckily, my music can still be used, that was a releif. and my word documents are intact. it also seems that my computer is having trouble accessing the internet, even though it is plugged in with a cable. even when the internet does work, it's slow and crashes constantly. i don't feel very satisfied with the job they did, i think i might be going back to complain on monday or tuesday. This whole ordeal is almost enough to turn me off gaming for life, if feels like my life work has been destroyed for a cost of $84.

Well this sucks. Yesterday at work i informed my manager that i was going to be away for three weeks in august, and he said that is unacceptable. he payed me and said that i could no longer work here, and that this would be my last day. what really sucks is that i was supposed to work tommorow and next sunday, and if i had i would have had enough money to upgrade my computer. now i'm about $150 short, and will have to wait until september to find another job. i don't think i'll be able to find another job as good as working at the video store, all i do is watch movies, eat chocolate bars, and help costermors. i even get a chair to sit in. i thought i would be safe money wise, so i spent a bunch earlier this summer on stupid crap that i didn't really need. now i have $315 dollars waiting to be used for comp. upgrades, and i need about 450. i should be able to get another $100 without work throughout the rest of the summer if i don't spend any, but after that i'm out of luck, and will have to find anothe job.

Also, my gaming desktop is still in the shop, i'm supposed to pick it up today, and that should cost another $50 dollars. i guess i won't be getting those upgrades until october then, i'll have to hold out on those new releases until then if i wan't to enjoy them properly. oh well, at least i will still be able to play Stalker: clear sky on my current rig, the first one played fine, and the second one is supposedly better optimized. for now, i'm going to go drown my sorrows in ice cream, tv, and trackmania nations: forever. i'm report back on how my comp is working after it gets back from the shop.
