Remember the mid-season wishlist I made back in January? click Well now we'll go back and see which of my wishes came true. (I would have done this sooner if it wasn't for tv.com obliterating the blogs.) Needless to say this contains spoilers if you are not up to date with the shows I am discussing.

The Mentalist
Wish -More Red John: The Red John trail was picked up again in the last episode for the first time since the pilot. I don't want Jane to catch him this season though I'm enjoying the cat and mouse chase between them and Jane's promises to kill him. I do want Jane to get close though as in "Red John's Friends".
Did it come true? YES! The Red John story line did not make a return until the season finale "Red John's footsteps" which as the title suggests was a Red John centric episode. Jane came within a hair's bredth of Red John but did not catch him.

Wish -More Rigsby and Van Pelt: So they can't date ay? I want this to come up again because I get the feeling that Van Pelt actually does like Rigsby.
Did it come true? YES! In episode 16 "Bloodshot" Jane tells Van Pelt that Rigsby loves her and suggests that she is attracted to him but she is emotionly shutdown because of a past trauma. Rigsby and Van Pelt then almost share a kiss after he has been beaten up by the guy she was dating (who turned out to be the bomer). And in episode 18 "Russet Potatoes" Rigsby kisses Van Pelt whilst under hypnosis.

Wish -More Lisbon: There have been little clues about agent Lisbon; her mum was killed in a car crash she says but we know she is not close to the brother since Jane ascertained that she spent Thanksgiving alone rather than with him, I'm intrigued I want to know more.
Did it come true? NO. One of my biggest complaints about this show was the lack of character development (and indeed for this reason I am doubtful I will continue to watch). To my knowledge there were no major advancements in the delevopment of Lisbon.

Wish -More Cho!: I know next to nothing about agent Cho. Can we get a little background?
Did it come true? NO. I still know next to nothing about Cho there was some allusion to his mother trying to find him a wife I think but that was it. Very disappointed.

Chuck
Wish -Bryce Larkin comes back: Bryce has to come back again to stir things up before the end of the season!
Did it come true? Yes! Bryce makes a return in the amazing season finale "Chuck Versus The Ring". It is revealed that Stephan Bartowski entrusted Bryce with the Intersect to send to Chuck and now that Chuck has the Intersect out of his head Bryce is supposed to get the Intersect upgrade but is unfortunatly killed so the responsiblity once again falls to Chuck to redownload the Intersect into his brain and we all know the result of that!

Wish -More Fulcrum: Ooo Fulcrum have got so close to discovering Chuck is the Intersect haven't they? (well they did) More of the same please
Did it come true? YES. Just a BIT! The Fulcrum situation was INTENSE to say the least. In episode 13 "Chuck Versus The Suburbs" Chuck has the Fulcrum "dark Intersect" downloaded into his brain which then kicks off a continuous and mythos heavy story arc (the only interruptions being the standalones "Chuck Versus the Best Friend" which was broadcast in the wrong place due an Obama press conference and episode 18 "Chuck Versus the Broken Heart" which guest starred Tricia Helfer).
In episodes 15 and 16 the team is asissted by British agent Cole Barker to try stop Fulcrum buliding their own Intersect and Chuck discovers a man named "Orion" is behind the Intersect. He is contacted by Orion in Episode 17 but Orion is killed by Fulcrum which hardens Chuck's resolve to get the Intersect out of his head and we discover he has been doing his own investigations (AMAZING scene IMO). Chuck meets his father in episode 19 and learns that he is in fact Orion! and the fight against Fulcrum continues from episode 19-22. With Fulcrums Intersect being distroyed in episode 21 "Chuck Versus the Colonal" and Fulcrum ringleader Ted Roark is killed by a member of Casey's team in Episode 22, who turns out to be part of group called "The Ring", which is even more powerful than Fulcrum and so ends Fulcrums reign of terror.

Wish -More "Mom, it's JohnnyBoy.": Yeah the softer side of John Casey! I know it's in there
Did it come true? It took a while but YES! Casey is a complete basterd most of the way through episode 21 "Chuck Versus The Colonal" when he is promoted to Colonel to apprehend Chuck and Sarah who have gone AWOL. Casey later meets Chuck and Sarah trying to rescue Chuck's dad and says that he is disappointed that they didn't ask him to join them (*squee!*) and the team is back together again! And let's not forget Casey playing wedding planner in the season finale!

Wish -More Chuck/Sarah: That's right I'm a shameless Chuck/Sarah shipper! But who the bloody hell isn't????
Did it come true? HELL, HELL YESSSSS! So many moments! Valentines day awkwardness and domestic bliss in "Chuck Versus the Suburbs", Chuck tells Sarah he loves he (in a round about way) in "Chuck Versus The Lethal Weapon" FYI my fave Chuck/Sarah moment!, and of course Chuck and Sarah smexing it up in "Chuck Versus The Colonal". Bliss!

Wish -It's an oxymoron but... Chuck and Sarah not getting together: I want Chuck and Sarah to get together eventually but it shouldn't be by the end of the season surely?
Did it come true? YES and THEN SOME! Ships should never be plain sailing should they? Chuck has a rival for Sarah affections in Cole Barker, and then Sarah is fired for getting too close to Chuck in "Chuck Versus the Broken Heart" the result being that she becomes more distant from Chuck. Jill stirs things up again when Chuck must pretend to be engaged to her in "Chuck Versus The First Kill", and in the finale it seems like Sarah is going to leave with Bryce but she declines to go with him at Ellie and Awesomes wedding. Some people don't like the "will they won't they" aspect of the show but I live for it! And season 3 is going to be even more complicated! Agh!

Wish -Viva Buymoreia!: Fulcrum KNOW that something is going down at the Buy More and that Casey and Sarah are protecting someone... does that mean Chuck has to leave?? I hope not!
Did it come true? YES! In "Chuck Versus the Predator" Chuck is contacted at the Buy More by Orion who promises to send a secure super computer for them to communticate on except Jeff and Lester manage to get their hands on it before Chuck and almost destroy the Beverly Hills branch of the Buy More. In "Chuck Versus the Dream job" Chuck gets a taste of the life he could have had by going undercover as himself to work at Roark Industries, Morgan then discovers via Lester and Jeff that Chuck is "cheating" on the Buy More. Chuck loses his job at RI trying to stop the launch of the Roark operating system and thus returns to his (relatively) sedate life at the Buy More.

Fringe
Wish -William Bell... PLEASE: Uh so we still haven't been able to see him? Can't we at least get mysterious back shot a la smoking man????
Did it come true? YES! Finally! in the the season finale Olivia manages to secure a meeting with Willim Bell except it seems like he's stood her up but the by way the the blue lights we've been seeing all season she ends up in the multiverse (in the World Trade Center of all places) and we get about 5 seconds of Leonard Nimoy introducing himself as Willian Bell. Short and sweet and did the job

Wish -More Olivia development: Olivia is becoming more and more interesting to me each episode and I hope this reaches a fever pitch now that she has been kidnapped.
Did it come true? HELLS YEAH! Olivia is not just central to the story being told in Fringe but pivotal it turns out. In episode 14 "Ability" Olivia is set a bizarre test by David Robert Jones, she has to turn off a grid of small lights just with her mind. She conspires with Peter to trick Jones into thinking she has passed so that he will tell her the location of a bomb. Jones Tells Olivia that she was treated with a drug called cortexiphan as a child but she doesn't believe him. When Olivia and her team arrive at location of the bomb Jones has planted it has the same series of lights as the test. Olivia decides to stay to shut it off with her mind and she succeeds. (though she thinks it's a trick).
In episode 17 "Bad Dreams" Olivia dreams about some horiffic murders which she discovers really happened. Olivia and Peter discover that a man called Nick Lane is behind the murders and he is hyperempathic meaning that people around him are directly affected by his mood. It also turns out that Nick and Olivia were both born in Jacksonville Florida and he refers to her as "Olive". It is also revealed that they were in the same drug trials together. At the end of the episode Walter watches an old tape he has found and on it he is telling a little girl called Olive who is cowering in the corner with what look like scorch marks around her, that istwasn't her fault. Wow!

Wish -More Walter: YES PLEASE! He's so funny!
Did it come true? YES! Far too many monments for me to name but the guy is a legend

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Wish -Sarah finally finds out what this "three dots" thing is: They've been dragging this out haven't they?
Did it come true? YES! They dragged this out all the way until the mindblowinly amazing season (series *sob*) finale. The three dots was the same configuration of lights on "The Turk" computer (now John Henry).

Wish -Cameron/Riley showdown: A proper one this time please not that pansy one they had in the fall finale.
Did it come true? YES! and to amazing effect. In episode 17 "Ourselves Alone" Cameron is having technical issues she accidently kills a bird with her hand which is spazzing out for some reason. She tries to fix her hand. She later has a very tense confrontation with Riley in the garage and her hand is still twitching, Riley knows what she is and it seems like Cameron is going to kill her as they have a heated discussion only to be interrupted by John. Riley leaves and John ask Cameron if she was going to kill her Cameron says she doesn't know but that Riley is a threat to John.

Wish -Rileys game is up: This has to happen SOON.
Did it come true? Yes! Again, in episode 17, Riley attacks Jesse in her hotel room. Riley has worked out that Jesse wanted Riley to turn John against Cameron by having Cameron kill her. Jesse kills Riley. I felt kinda sorry for Riley in the end but she had to die.

Wish -Derek/Jesse showdown: Please let Derek find out what Jesse is about!
Did it come true? Yes! In episode 19 "Today Is The Day (2)" Derek and Jesse have a huge confrontation in the underground car park as she is leaving and Derek shoots her as she's running away but it's not really clear whether he killed her.

Wish -Ellison wakes up and smells the coffee: Heres a simple equation Ellison, ZeiraCorp + John Henry= Skynet + Judgement Day!
Did it come true? YES! Though it took right up until the season finale for this to happen. Ellison realises the truth Weaver reveals her true identity in order to protect John and Sarah from on coming Skynet rocket attack she transforms herself into a huge metal shield.

Pushing Daisies
Wish -AIR THE LAST THREE EPISODES GODDAMNIT!!!!: As if they haven't done enough ABC are now withholding the last three episodes? for what reason? Wankers!!
Did it come true? Yes, but no thanks to ABC... the last three episodes were shown here in the UK May thanks to ITV but not until July in America. Boooo ABC!

Wish -Please, please pick this show up in some capacity *sob*: preferably a movie...
Did it come true? No! Well a little bit ... we now know there will be a Pushing Daisies comic and that Bryan Fuller has a movie planned out but no one has bought the movie yet.

Dollhouse
Wish -Season picks up: I've read pretty mixed reviews for the pilot so I hope the season gets better as it goes on a la Fringe.
Did it come true? No whilst there certainly were major improvements the season definately did not become compulsive viewing and it felt like a chore to watch towards the end. I continued watching to the end in the hopes that there would be a huge pay off but alas no.

Heroes
Wish -Fugitives is better... The only way is up right? The show has added two new writers Bryan Fuller and a Battlestar Galactica writer whose name escapes me right now. Fuller has created a part especially for Pushing Daisies alumni Swoosie Kurtz... Now just add a man with the power to bring the dead back to life... and a girl called Chuck..
Did it come true? No. I stopped watching Heroes cos it was so bad and reports were that it just got worse and worse and the ratings continued to nose dive. How this got an early renewal when Chuck was on the bubble for so long I'll never know (see my Chuck V Heroes blog for my thoughts on THAT ). Not only that but Bryan Fuller jumped ship before the end of the season. Good for him!

I will write a Fall season wish list with in the next couple of weeks I'm such a TV fiend now that there will be more shows on my list plus new show premieres. The shows whose returns I am squeeing the most about are Supernatural, Dexter and Fringe. As Chuck is not back until March (damn you NBC) it will be included my mid season wish list next year.

Jodie

LOL Daria you and your firstness you just had to get in there didn't you? Haha. No worries I only realised it was a bit lengthy after I had written it but I made the font a bit bigger too. Laters

I'm back? lol I didn't go any where Bea!
Posted Aug 23, 2009 11:38 am PT
fifthness! or 3rd if we discount ya Jodie, LOL! I zoomed on by many of these, as I’m waiting for them to hit the DVD shelves. And ya know how us Europeans have to way so gorram long for that. I agree, to some extent, with Dollhouse. I found it a lot more watchable than you seemingly did, but it’s by far Whedon’s least appealing show thus far.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 11:41 am PT
Apparently, I was fourth. HA.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 11:41 am PT
Oh, I didnt know there was any plans for a movie for Pushing Daises. Thats cool. I thought Dollhouse got A LOT better near the end of the season. Weird that you found it harder to watch.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 11:54 am PT
Hey Mark! *waves* all the shows I've listed here have already been broadcast in the UK expect Chuck season 2 which is airing now. I never bother waiting for the UK airings anyway and I mostly the the US releases of DVDs too. Pushing Daisies season 2 and Dollhouse *I think* are already on DVD. Dollhouse was a huge disappointment for me there was so many parts I found laughable (and I don't mean the good kind of laughing) and you should not really feel that way about a show. However I know I'm not the only one who felt this way about Dollhouse it's a shame because it had so much potential. One of the main things was a had a problem with was my suspendsion of diebelief, mainly due to bad acting I have to say. If they took the focus off Dushku and made it into an ensemble show it may rekindle my interest.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 11:57 am PT
Oh I have Pushing Daisies. I’m not holding my breath on any further filming adventures, but I remain a tad optimistic. Yeah, I’m not so sure Dushku can hold her own, but that’s more so Joss’ fault that Eliza’s, as you said, he waited too long to make it an ensemble piece, which is where his other shows soared, ya know?
Posted Aug 23, 2009 12:15 pm PT
but you haven't written a blog in quite some time and i've missed them a lot!
Posted Aug 23, 2009 12:45 pm PT
Yay for all your Chuck wishes coming true. I feel the same way when it comes to Sarah and Chuck, I want them to get together and then I don't. That scene in Chuck V the Colonel was a dream come true. and Sarah ditching Brryce to be with Chuck At Ellie's wedding, awwww. And Casey going all soft for Chuck
Posted Aug 23, 2009 12:56 pm PT
I agree on The Mentalist, Fringe & Dollhouse great Tv shows XO XO

Posted Aug 23, 2009 1:10 pm PT
Nice to see that Santa made so many of your wishes come true, Jodie. If I had had to choose between Doll House and TSCC, I'd have chosen the latter. Lets hope Joss gets a chance to shine in a reduced-budget Season 2, but it feels like a hopeless cause.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 1:22 pm PT
Rebecca Yes it's great news let's just keep our fingers crossed it could be made. Dollhouse did get better but it still was not good enough. There were plot holes big enough to drive a bus through and I cringed at Dushku's bad acting. One problem I found towards the end was that I was working too hard to suspend my disbelief. That is not something you should have to think about. And as a sci-fi head I'm sure you can appreciate this, the device used to wipe and program the actives, a light shined to the back of the head, was a poor choice, it would make sense if the light were shined in their eyes, but it's to the back of their head? The is no logic, and in sci-fi there has to be some sort of logic for it to work. Couple with that Dusku's acting and poor writing... it just wasn't doing it for me.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 1:52 pm PT
Mark Pushing Daisies is one of those shows you just can't help but be hopeful for. It would make such a brilliant movie the show was so cinematic as it was. You make a very very good point Mark, my understanding was the Dusku was contracted to Fox after the cancellation of Tru Calling to be lead in a show, Whedon developed the show with Dushku and of course she had to be lead and it had to be on Fox. All poor business decisions if you ask me let alone creative ones. And yes you are absolutely right Buffy, Angel and Firefly were popular because they were ensembles so to deviate from theat is unwise to say the least, because on the surface of it Dollhouse seems like it is supposed to be an ensemble show, 2/3 episodes in and it's clear it's not.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 2:02 pm PT
Bea Aw thanks I'm glad you like my blogs, please come back and comment
Posted Aug 23, 2009 2:03 pm PT
Chuck, Chuck, Chuck. I don't want to wait until Spring! More Chuck and Sarah... Dollhouse and Supernatural from your list as well. Jeffery
Posted Aug 23, 2009 2:23 pm PT
Emiko I know can you believe that? all my Chuck wishes came true! You'd better believe I was happy Eeeeee! I'm so glad you feel the same way about Chuck and Sarah the will they won't they is the best bit! And like I said I heard the season 3 is gonna be even better for will they won't they I squeed my head off when they got it on in the Colonal. My fave moment remains in the Lethal Weapon and if they can top that I will be a very happy bunny indeed.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 2:34 pm PT
Karla I don't think you read my blog properly because I did not say that I thought Dollhouse was a great show I said I was very disappointed with it. I was also disppointed with a lot of The Mentalist.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 2:38 pm PT
i will, after a good night's sleep and a boring's day work ...
Posted Aug 23, 2009 2:41 pm PT
Dorothy I like to think it was some sort of TV fairy rather than Santa You are so preaching to the choir here I'm team TSCC all the way I thought Fox were out of their minds when they Renewed Dollhouse (and even the fans were shocked at that). I did not know season 2 would have a reduced budget but that makes sense. It's going to take a hell of a lot to keep that show on the air and Whedon fans cannot do that alone Dollhouse will need mass appeal and that doesn't seem likely to happen.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 2:46 pm PT
Hello. I have also been catching up on "The Mentalist" and really enjoying it. When I heard the premise of the show, I was like "it's going to be just like Psych which I don't like". I was so wrong! I've always liked Simon Baker (did you see "Something New"?), didn't know much about the other actors, but it's a good cast. I love Cho.

"Chore" is a good choice of words for "Dollhouse". I stuck it out and I hope season 2 delivers a payoff. "Heroes" - it was joyless, but I'll probably give it another chance during the next season.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 3:24 pm PT
Jeffery Yay for Chuck! I don't want to bloody wait until March but Chuck in March is better than no Chuck at all and I just know it's going to be amazing. Only two or three weeks until Supernatural now? Wow I can't wait
Posted Aug 23, 2009 4:33 pm PT
I thought you liked your new job Bea? Oh well you'll have to tell me all about it
Posted Aug 23, 2009 4:35 pm PT
Hari Do you know I have never seen Psych myself but it did sound simular to me although the Mentalist is not a comedy but does have a lot a funny moments. The problem with the Mentalist is that it gets very samey very quickly, most of the cases involve some sort of affair for some reason but the one saving grace is Simon Baker he carries this show well. Still, I don't know if the writing in this show can hold my attention especially if the spoilers about Red John's identity are to be believed.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 4:41 pm PT
Oh no have not seen Something New Hari but I have seen him in The Guardian and he is very good in that too.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 4:42 pm PT
Shortly before they announced the Dollhouse renewal I heard on the news that it depended on whether Joss would agree to a reduced budget. Unfortunately, there was no way TSCC could have pulled off anything like the level they were at with less money.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 5:26 pm PT
Lol, the machine doesnt bother me at all. I may be a bit too much of a "sci-fi head" to understand the problem. I have begun to accept pretty much anything. Tell me thats the way it is, and I say ok. But at least I'm not as bad as this guy.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 6:26 pm PT
Hi Jodie. Nice Twitter button by the way. Glad so many of wishes come true. I completely agree with Heroes, I stopped watching around the 7th episode because I just -couldn't- anymore. Sorry Dollhouse was so bad for you, I bought the dvd and found it hard at first. The one unaired eppy (Epitaph One) was so much better than the rest of the season. I hate to say it, but that might even be because Dushku was barely in it. *sigh* I still haven't finished watching the entire season of Chuck (don't kill me! ), but it sounds like the season was great. Also, love your avie! (how in the world do you spell that word???)
Posted Aug 23, 2009 6:59 pm PT
Oooh I love me some Van Pelt and Rigsby. And I so want some more Cho. The episodes with the witch and the murder at the hotel were my favorite Cho ones so far. I just want to know what book he's reading during stakeouts. And I love the new icon. I'm totally a minion.
Posted Aug 23, 2009 10:04 pm PT
Yay for the wishes that came true. I think I'm like the only Chuck fan who doesn't ship Chuck/Sarah. Mostly because I don't care much for Sarah. Don't kill me! I disagree about Dollhouse and Heroes. I think the 2nd half of Dollhouse was really good and I've always thought Heroes was great. Don't watch any of the other shows. Have a great week!
Posted Aug 23, 2009 11:19 pm PT
Dorothy I see, and Dollhouse is a Fox produced show whereas TSCC was WB wasn't it? And TSCC already had had budget cuts in it's second season as it was. I think that was the deciding factor in the end though I was very disappointed that WB didn't shop the show around. And yes I totally do still want to see Dollhouse crash and burn out of my loyalty for TSCC
Posted Aug 23, 2009 11:59 pm PT
LOL I'm surprised Rebecca! Things like that bug the hell out of me I thought you would be like that too. I buy almost anything if it's some sort of supernatual being like a vampire or something but sci-fi has to make sense otherwise it's just magic isn't it? I watched the vid... wow Stargate sure took a funny turn I had no idea they did parady episodes like that..
Posted Aug 24, 2009 12:06 am PT
Hey Marissa actually I thought it was a little big I was gonna find a smaller icon but I think I'll keep it for now. TBH I didn't think even half my wishes would come true so I think I did pretty well. I'm not sure I even made it to the 7th episode of Heroes I think I bailed at somewhere like the 5th. I just couldn't take it anymore nothing they were doing made sense anymore. I don't disagree that Dollhouse got a lot better but even when it did it was still a mediocre show (which goes to show how bad it was in the first place). Most people say it was okay towards the end though only hardcore Whedonites seem to think it was amazing. It is possible it could get better in the second season though it would have to be a pretty big jump to do that. Despite my reservations about the show I still want to see that unaired episode (and the unaired pilot). Wow, you liked it because Dushku was barely in it? Now that really sounds bad! You haven't finished the entire season of Chuck? which one first of second? Well I can only tell you that the show just gets better and better and there are some truely mindblowing moments but you have until March to finish it plenty of time! Haha you mean avatar though I also say icon, it is a good one cos it's so true!
Posted Aug 24, 2009 12:24 am PT
Ash I ship Rigsby and Van Pelt too! but I feel like the writers are just treating Cho as a filler character and not giving him any good material... but proceduals are never big on character development anyway A minion? I'm sure I have no idea what you are talking about..... *shuffles feet*
Posted Aug 24, 2009 12:28 am PT
I am shocked Sara! Shocked to the core! LOL I do find it very odd when people have no feelings about Chuck/Sarah because it makes up like 50% of the show. And you don't like Sarah? how are you managing to still watch then? I know there will always be Heroes fans, hell I was one back in the season 1 and 2 days but it took such a bad turn so fast that I was shocked. I've continued reading reviews and more and more fans are turning off, do you think you will stick it out until the end? I personally have never made such a big u-turn on a show.
Posted Aug 24, 2009 12:36 am PT
Hell yeah to Chuck, HELL YEAH!!! Casey genious, I wanna see his mom in S3, who doesn't? Haha you used my word Smexin we should see more of that in S3. I would like to see more of this so called "Ring" organization, sad to see Bryce go in the end I want S3 now not next March

Fringe started off slow for me but got into it around ep 6-7 and the finale, well it lots of questions being asked. Lenord Nimoy should have had more line to say
S3 of Dexter was the weakest IMO but never dull, have you seen the S4 promo for it? it's bloddy awesome
As for Supernatural I'm getting there slowly up-to episode 15 S1. I've got the bank-holiday weekend off so I'm gonna hopefully finish S1 by then and zoom into S2. Nice Blog! Catch you on twitter

About Fringe, 1) I love that Olivia's background is unravelling to reveal that she's connected more than she thinks. And 2) do you think that Walter will still be around as much as before in the first season after the season finale?
Posted Aug 24, 2009 10:01 am PT
Hiya Jodes!!! Gotta say, love The Mentalist (though it took me this summer in reruns to watch it since it aired the same night and time as another show I watched), love Chuck (and you have to have that sexual tension between chuck and sarah...that's half the fun...not to mention Casey who reminds me SOOO much of Jayne from Firefly). I watched Fringe from the start and kept saying, it'll get better....I'll be hooked..and sure enough, though it takes a while to really get into, I'm there..even in a parallel universe I never watched SCC, Heroes, and was only mildly entertained by Dollhouse which I hate to say since I am a devoted Whedonite. LOVED Pushing Daisies--so original and what a feast for the eyes. So whimsical and creative-it's a shame that it is over. Of course I'll keep watching Supernatural, but I think you've probably read my reviews and thoughts about the direction it has taken. I hate to say it, but it is no longer my favorite show, and I barely watch Season 4 re-runs this summer...so disappointing to me...but, that's just my opinion. Holy moly, I've babbled on and written a response quite possibly longer than your blog!!! I'll just be quiet now. **hugs**

Hey Vman haha smexing is such a good word Yeah that's a great wish actually I want more Casey centric episodes full stop though I don't know how much a possibility that will be now with a shortened season. I think The Ring story line has the potential to be even better than Fulcrum although I have to admit I am going to miss Fulcrum! I'm just twisted that way. Yep everyone says this about Fringe, myself included, but the great thing is that once it gets going it is amazing, I also think it's one of those shows that perhaps needed to build a foundation in it's first season (I believe JJ Abrams said something to that effect too) this is why I think season 2 is going to be even better. I was also dissappointed with season 3 of Dexter it was actually not a bad season just compared to the first two it lackluster. I've seen the season4 promo yes! it's going to be soo good. Stick with Supernatural I promise you will get a HUGE payoff and then it just becomes compulsive viewing.
Posted Aug 24, 2009 11:14 am PT
Hanna Yes I'm loving this connection thing too! Ninia Sharp was interested in Olivia from the start and now that we know Walter knew her as a child it's just gonna get more and more complicated. No I don't think Walter will be going away, I do think that is realisation regarding Peter is going to have a huge impact on his character it could make him more focused or it could send him even crazier and his temperement is such that's it's impossible to tell. Either way Walter will become more intwined in the plot.

Stargate can be super funny, but they only got really crazy for their 100th and 200th episods. Special occasions. The clip was from 200. But yeah. I dont really see it as magic, just too advanced for me to understand, and I'm ok with that. Unless its really obvious.

Yeah, avatar, icon...Meh, whatever. I'll say "the pretty picture" and you might understand what I'm talking about. Hmm. I guess I'm a Whedonite then. Well...it wasn't amazing. But worth watching for me. So I suppose we'll just have different opinions on Dollhouse then. I had this love for Elle on Heroes, but once she was gone, there was no point in watching anymore. Even if it starts to get better next season, I don't think I'm going to start watching again. I've watched every episode of Chuck Season 1, but only about four from season 2 since my music lessons keep overlapping with when it airs. But I'll find time eventually...And does saying Dushku almost ruins some of the scenes she's in make me a bad fangirl? Eep! *hides*

Hmmm... I was on my TV.com hiatus when that wishlist blog came out. As a pilot season, The Mentalist was just OK for me. It isn't bad enough that I'd drop it (well, I don't really drop shows anyway ). And the few episodes which I really liked were the ones in which Red John was involved. I love the Rigsby-Van Pelt chemistry/tension/love angle. I don't care about Lisbon. She's just plain boring. No character development? How about no personality? Damn them for killing Bryce. Matthew Bomer dies in a series, again. You're right! Chuck's been more serial and less stand-alone last season, which is great for us fans. Once the 'will they, won't they' aspect is resolved when two leads finally get together, the relationship gets dull. So hurray for X-Files, Bones, Gilmore Girls for doing a splendid job of having kept the sexual tension and excitement for audiences. More Jeffsterrrrr!! I'm still on the fence on whether Fringe is a good show for me. I love Abrams, but Fringe hasn't had me hooked just yet. But I did find Olivia's character dev towards the end interesting. RIP, TSCC. I wasn't really into it and didn't care much when it got cancelled. I prefer a PD movie too over comics. Dullhouse. 'nuf said. Alpha's the only bright spot in that show. Oh, and Amy Acker too. Heroes is blah! Dexter season four opener was amazing! I can't wait to see more!

Hey Shazzie I think it speaks volumes of Adam Baldwin's acting because although there are obvious simularities between Jayne and Casey I do not think of one when I watch the other, both are great characters. Yep I always tell peeps to keep going with Fringe cos it gets so good and most people say the same too I think it just needed time to lay down all that mythos like with the blue lights and everything. Give TSCC ago, only watch the first season of Heroes though (if you watch the rest you'll see what all the complaints were about). The thing is with Dollhouse, I think, is that it needs to have a wider appeal than just Whedonites, your casual viewer wouldn't know who he was and it wasn't enough to save Firefly after all. You'd better believe I went through the 5 stages of grieving when Pushing Daisies was cancelled ... *sigh*... I've only just accepted it now... just when when we were getting answers in the story they cancelled it
Aw man, we've had this Supernatural discussion before I know I have not read your reviews so what exactly was it that turned you off? For me season 4 ws when Supernatural went from a very good show to a "OMFG this is genius" show. I don't know what your beliefs are or whatever but I am a rationalist, I prefer that term to an athetist but you get what I mean, and I am able to take the religious overtones just as what they are mythological stories, no different to legends about vampires and unicorns. Since demons and hell have been heavily featured in the show since season 1 it only made sense that angels and heaven would come up at some point. Personally I think Supernatural sets the bench mark for series long story arcs and there have been allusions to what was coming up right from the beginning when you go back and have a look, like when Missouri says they are putting crossroads dirt in the bags in "Home" season 1, they are hex bags cept they don't call them that. Don't worry about babbling in my blog, everyone does it, and I am guilty of most of it it's the perfect place after all!

Maybe it's just me then Rebecca cos I can accept the multiverse in Fringe but I have huge problems with Kim 2.0 in Eureka, even though they are both as highly as improbable as each other... I think a lot of it is to do with writing and the execution of the concept as well as acting, the idea of someone having an entire computer downloaded into their brain as in Chuck is totally propostious yet I accepted it without even thinking about it. Yet I have major problems with the personality imprinting process in Dollhouse even though it is not that disimular from Chuck. And I should say that I did not have that problem with Dollhouse at first but as the show went on, the light shined to the back of head seemed like a poor visualisation of what was trying to be achieved, I found myself having to think about it too much shattering the illusion. Couple that with Dushku's poor acting basically every single "character" she plays having the exact same mannerisms as each other and I was working too hard to do something that acting and writing should so for me. Once the illusion is gone it's hard to get it back and it just becomes mime.... which is why I hated Warehouse 13... that nonsense miming about with tin kettle was poor...cheap looking props and sets in that show it's a shame cos it's actually a really good idea.
