A sequel that is better than the original! Maintaining the emphasis on historical events, the sequel provides the Gates family with a new quest but with the same goal â clear the family name. This time Ben is forced into a far more public (and criminal) role which makes stealing the Declaration of Independence look like jaywalking! We meet a new member of the family, Bens mother, who is crucial to the hunt and gets unwilling dragged into it. Puzzles, traps and ancient treasure, who could ask for more?! An excellent sequel and highly satisfying.

I honestly probably wouldnât have watched this if Iâd known what it was about but ⦠The first few minutes definitely put an adult off: singing animals and girls daydreaming about âTrue Loveâs First Kissâ. Later on you realise itâs actually poking fun at itâs own beginning. A lot of it is frothy, cute (but not nauseatingly so) and oh yes, more singing. Despite this, you end up smiling a lot and it is a very sweet love story. The cynicism of Patrick Dempseyâs character is a refreshing dose of cold water which stop things getting too ridiculous. There are many very funny sequences, many of them poking fun at the entire âWalt Disney romanceâ genre. Overall itâs a sweet movie and the end is quite fun, including a very romantic slow dance.
