Well here's the update I'm allowed to go Home on the 11th Yes!!!!!!! woo finally I'm out of this bed
And My brother stopped by today and gave me a retail copy of Death Magnetic (He works at best buy). he stopped by to give it to me and i am impressed from this album. Lets get this straight Its Not Saint Anger its nothing like it.
Now that thats over and done with im going to review it track by track
This Was Just Your Life:
An intro that gets you into the rhythm of the album it starts of with the sound of a heart beat and quickly changes to slow metal and progressively speeds up with the song. You notice the presence of the Lead guitar and Drums the most James's voice gets drowned out by the drums but it has some catchy parts Overall it sound a bit like And Justice for all 8.5/10
The End Of The Line:
This Track Walks the line between Trash Metal and Death metal but let me get this off my chest before i continue this OMFG A MOTHATRUCKIN SOLO. Yes the first solo in the album and it is EPIC in so many ways, James discovered Speed picking again because the rhythm guitar makes its mark. 9/10
Broken, Beat & Scarred
This Song delivers a beat that you can bang your head to the Guitar really makes its mark here just before the solo but the solo in this song is alright isn't the best but it isn't poop 8/10
The Day That Never Comes
Why oh why did this song fail it really tried to aim for the song One but stumbled around to me this song is sloppy but has a great rhythm and tempo has a couple of catchy riffs but really isn't for me, You have heard it already you can decide what you want to say on it but i think Kirk tried a little to much to resemble Iron Maiden and it doesn't really go well 7/10
All Nightmare Long
Alright its a Horrible name but the song makes refrence to and justice for all (which is not a bad thing) but they made up for it throughout the song, its crossing the line from traditional metallica style to going more torwards speed metal but its Alright because at least you can stomach it 7.5/10
Cyadine
Yea you heard this song before, My impression is that they stepped into the territory to old hard rock (Motorhead Especially) provides a catchy chorus for the MTV audience 7/10
The Unforgiven III
ANOTHER UNFORGIVEN!?! Yes ,Yes Another one and its a step more towards the first song unforgiven but this has to be the slowest song on the album but its just good nothing more nothing less 7.5/10
The Judas Kiss
This song made me wonder what were they aiming for in this song this song is not as good as the rest and makes me wonder what the hell, This song sound like something AC/DC would not metallica they fumbled the ball here 6.3/10
Suicide & Redemption
Oh My God I hear the Bass!!! Yes it makes a presence here surprisingly, This song reminds me a bit of Orion but its just not as epic as orion was its still surprisingly good 8/10
My Apocalypse
The Single Best song in this Album a great way to end the album and it just provides what i love about metallica its a combination between Master of Puppets and Blackened And it is AWESOME i love it and it probably has 45 plays today alone and i love it 9/10
Well Overall the album is Better then saint anger and that is good It is Very good i suggest you get this album when it hits store shelves on the 12th
FINAL SCORE 8.5/10
Thanks for reading this Blog for all of those who did and if you don't mind I'm going to try and figure out how to play My Apocalypse on my guitar
