I've just realized how difficult people are to please after reading reviews for the fifth Potter film. Yes, my blog had critiques in it, but come on! This was by far one of the best films to date. There was quite a lot left out, but that is to be expected. I'm just absolutely shocked by it. But I guess everybody judges a movie based on different things. To me, this movie's good points stood out far more than the bad ones. I mean I was so excited that Dan Radcliffe finally learned how to act! I can honestly say that I went out of the theater thinking "That kid can act" instead of "Oh he just looks like Harry Potter and that's the only reason he got the part"... I adored his scenes with Gary Oldman and thought that there wasn't enough.. I hope to see them star in more movies together in the future because those two have amazing chemistry and are just so enjoyable to watch. I will admit that the battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort needed to be a little longer, but I still thought it was amazing. I've had issues with every single one of these films, but I think this one did such a good job.. Like the parts with Harry dreaming about Cedric's death--that was pretty dead-on (sorry for the choice of words there --unintentional, I promise!) That is almost exactly howI imagined Harry to be in the beginning of the book. Like I said in my last blog, my biggest problem was that Harry wasn't angry enough.. there was supposed to be loads more shouting and outbursts than what there was. I've heard numerous complaints about Fred's and George's exit from Hogwarts.. Fred and George are my favorite characters of the entire series, but I've come to terms with the fact that they just aren't included as much in the movies as they are in the books.. why, I'll never understand, but I've accepted it.. so really, would it make a lot of sense for them to have this big-bang exit from the school when they weren't really involved with the plot lines to begin with? I am the first to recognize that everyone is entitled to their views, but I guess I'm just having such a hard time with this one because despite all the things done wrong, there was also a lot done right. Major improvement from the last film if you ask me and I am VERY excited to see that David Yates has signed on for the Half-Blood Prince.. perhaps that won't be as choppy as the Order of the Phoenix since it's a shorter book. Maybe more people will be pleased with it

Webs- I totally agree. It was really good. Everything couldn't be included of course, but then again, that's nothing new for Hollywood. As for Radcliffe. D*mn, he got hott when I wasn't watching.

I completely agree. I felt bad that they'd left out some parts, but it was such a huge book to begin with.. I liked that it was much more darker and real then the others. And I wish they'd put more of Luna in it (cause I think im completely in love with her), but oh well, cant have everything. I dont know why people would think its bad.

Haven't seen it yet, but I saw the previous movies and I felt bad about the things that were left out of those movies too.

So I'll probably feel bad about this one too then

I agree with all that you said in this blog Webs! I enjoyed the movie...but it could've been so much more...guess the movie would end up 6 hours long if they included everything!

And Luna is totally my new fave character
