I hate it.

Yes, that's my first impressions after having gone through the training program and played about an hour of running and crouching back and forth around the statue of liberty. For a game that has a training program, it sure does a good job giving me no clue what to do.

I realize that the whole appeal with Deus Ex is how you can approach it in many ways, but right now, I find myself in a lot of situations where I'm not sure if there is a single way to do it successfully. From the very beginning, there seems to be many soldiers on guard, and I can think of no way to get past them with stealth. I don't have enough ammo to take them all down with the sniper, and shooting with the pistol is really hard. So far, I have made my way forwards by varying between using stealth and running until they can't see me any more.

Also, I'm not quite sure where my target is. I thought I was on my way, but then I found nothing, so now I'm not sure where I'm going to go.

I see what is supposed to be good about this game, and I applaud the idea, but I just haven't been able to quite get into the game yet.

Finish the first level. Do it however you have to.

You cannot let the game push you through the experience. It's not a game that does something like this.

Sometimes it is hard to get into a game, even a perfectly good game. Quite a few times I've played highly rated games or popular games but end up not finishing them because I just don't like them.
