If you have any thoughts about seeing the new movie, Speed Racer, ignore those thoughts. I went to go see Speed Racer tonight, and I found it completely boring from the very beginning. Unless if you have children nine years and younger, do not see this movie at any costs. Older viewers will be bored out of their misery. The only decent part about this movie is the CGI effects. That's it! Other than that, expect terrible jokes, family drama, and a difficult plotline to follow! Stay away from this movie!

:S. That and other bad reviews have been worrying me. Alas, I'm still going the first day it's out in Aus to see it because I LOVE anything associated with Speed Racer.

I was never a fan to begin with and CGI is the last thing I want in a movie. Thanks for the warning.

To Auntie: Yeah, CGI just kinda ruins it for me, especially the tour of the Royalton Buildings. That was the worst created CGI I have ever seen. I'm also not a big fan of the works of Emile Hirsch. He just can't act.

Hey this is Larry, I must say the movie didn't look that promising to me either. Now for sure, I am not going to watch it, maybe on video in 6 months. Anyways thanks for the heads up. I am also getting tired of all this CGI. It works sometimes but it is getting out of hand.

I used to watch the super old Speed Racer cartoon. That was completely lame, and expected this movie to be the same.

Yeah, I was expecting it to be exactly like the cartoons. Instead, I got me sitting in a theatre with a crying baby, four year olds asking their parents if they can go potty, and me falling asleep through the movie. That's how bad it was.
