It's time to take our second trip on the Culinary Scoreboard with Hell's Kitchen and Top Chef! Let's start with Hell's Kitchen this time!
1. Louross - I am finally moving Louross up to number one on the scoreboard this week, because I think that out of the crappy chefs this season, Louross is one of those four or five in the bunch that will impress Ramsay in the long run. I still don't know if this is the case, since it is so early in the season, but I definitely think Louross has a chance at winning.
2. Vanessa - Vanessa was pretty hidden this week, but she is still a contender for the prize. She has got to be the best chef of the season, but the only thing dragging her down is her team and her inability to work as a leader. If Vanessa is able to improve, we will see much of her in the future.
3. Rosann - Rosann is another one of those chefs that I think has a shot at winning this competition. We know that she can cook extremely well and that she can take the pressure of Hell's Kitchen. I just haven't seen much of her talent come through in her cooking. She's doing good, but not great, so I'm hoping that Rosann will be able to improve in the coming weeks.
4. Corey - We can finally tell that Corey is in it to win it. She was the Best of the Worst this week, proving herself after costing her team the reward challenge win, but made one of the stupidest bottom two decisions ever. She wanted some of her own strategy to come into play, but I knew that Ramsay was going to nullify her nominations. And already, people around the house are calling her a deceptive person, so Corey better watch her back. On the other hand, we can tell that she can cook a good risotto and that she can
5. Ben - Who is Ben? I don't know much about Ben, except that he is an electrician. I think that he will be able to go pretty far though because he can cook better than some of the other chefs, and I think he will make it far into the competition, maybe as the dark horse of the season. I have no clue though.
6. Craig - Another person who was hidden this week was Craig, but I think that Craig is just mediocre at this point. He hasn't proved Ramsay that he has cooked to his potential, but he hasn't proved to anybody else that he is bottom two material. Craig, I believe, will only make it to the middle of the competition.
7. Bobby - The Four-Star General has improved this week after last week's disastrous start. He has changed his attitude and has started doing better in the competition, but I still don't believe that he has performed at "Executive Chef Level." I think that for Bobby to do better in this competition, he needs to do what he failed to do in the first episode....be a leader.
8. Matt - I still have rough feelings about Matt since his horrible signature dish, but I still think that Matt will go far in this competition. Maybe he just had a rough start during the signature dish and he is a good chef, or maybe he doesn't deserve to be in a kitchen, but right now, Matt needs to improve or else he will wind up in the bottom two pretty soon.
9. Christina - Christina was part of Corey's bottom two scheme, and was the first person in the history of Hell's Kitchen to cry during their reasons on why they should stay. That was just ridiculous and funny, but now, Christina is out for Corey's blood, but not literally. However, her cooking abilities have been pretty silent so far and she hasn't wowed anybody with her cooking.
10. Jen - Jen was also part of Corey's bottom two scheme, mainly because of her attitude and her personality. I would have liked seeing Jen eliminated because of her personality, because it is getting annoying, but I know that she can cook really well and is doing really well. I'm thinking that if Jen drops her childish personality, she will go very far in this competition.
11. Petrozza - Even though Petrozza once again caused his team to malfunction, there is a tiny inkling in me that Petrozza can cook. I think that Petrozza has a chance at making it to the middle of the game, but there is no chance that Petrozza will win this competition. I'm sorry, Ayn, but I have to say it!
12. Jason - I hope Jason goes extremely soon! He is ruining this television show and treating the other women like they don't deserve to be in a kitchen. Also, Jason IS the reason why the kitchen got shut down, and I think that Jason has no chance at making it to the end of the game.
13. Shayna - Who is Shayna? Really? I just think that since Sharon was eliminated, Shayna will be the next woman to go. Her cooking abilities haven't shined through and I just have this gut feeling that Shayna will be the next to go. If she is not, she will go very soon!
Now for Top Chef...
1. Stephanie - Stephanie is still doing extremely well in the competition, winding up on the winning team this week. I think that Stephanie definitely deserved to win this elimination challenge, but she is still on an amazing streak, and at this pace, I think that Stephanie will definitely make the finale.
2. Richard - Even though Richard was the main reason his team was in the bottom, he is still doing extremely well in the competition. However, what the hell was he thinking with sous-vide salmon? The only thing I think that goes good with sous-vide is chicken, which Hung from season 3 was perfect for. Also, leaving the scales on the salmon is a huge no-no, and I can't believe as a chef, he would not take the time to remove the scales. However, he's still doing well.
3. Lisa - As observed, Lisa did win the elimination challenge this week, even though it was not deserved. Her gooey bacon only impressed judge Ming Tsai, which was good enough for her to win. I still think Lisa is doing well in the competition, but I did not think she should have won the elimination challenge.
4. Dale - Dale was also on the winning team this week, and has been on a roll in terms of being on winning teams. I don't think that Dale will win this competition, but will make it pretty far. Overall, Dale is doing really well in this competition.
5. Andrew - Andrew was in the bottom with Richard and Mark and once again created his faux caviar dish from last week. I think that Andrew might make the finale, but I am still unsure that he will, but Andrew continues to amaze the judges.
6. Ryan - I think that Ryan has a slight chance at making the finale. He does extremely well at the quickfires, but struggles during the elimination challenges. This week, he was in the middle of the pack with his duck breast and citrus salad, and I think that Ryan will continue to go in the middle of the pack, but I hope not, and I hope he does really well.
7. Antonia - As observed, Antonia won the quickfire, but with that quickfire win, she basically set up Zoi's elimination. Antonia not taking a back seat approach to the elimination challenge and turning down Spike and Zoi's butternut squash soup idea caused her team to be the worst of the week. I still think Antonia is doing well, but she was the reason Zoi went home.
8. Mark - Mark was in the bottom group with Richard and Andrew, but Mark has had the least success out of the three. I don't think that Mark is doing as well as I thought he would, and I think that if he does get any success, it will only get him to the middle of the pack, and if next week is cooking for hungry football fans, Mark might not have a winning dish up his sleeve.
9. Jennifer - Jennifer was in the middle of the pack this week, but I think that since her life partner, Zoi, was eliminated this week, her cooking may be effected in the upcoming challenges.
10. Spike - I have never hated anybody more on Top Chef than Spike. He just doesn't deserve to work in a kitchen with that type of attitude. Once again, Spike was in the bottom two this week, but he avoided elimination because he at least tried to convince Antonia to come up with the earthy squash soup idea. I still don't think that Spike should be here, but since next week is cooking for football fans, Spike will either sink or swim.
11. Nikki - In the promos, it looks like Nikki is going to have a tough time with the upcoming challenge, and based on Nikki's overall performance, it is more than likely that Nikki will be the one going home next week.
1. Louross - I am finally moving Louross up to number one on the scoreboard this week, because I think that out of the crappy chefs this season, Louross is one of those four or five in the bunch that will impress Ramsay in the long run.
