I've decided to go a little indie with this month's rock band, but not too indie: this month's featured band is Modest Mouse. Most of you know MM from their 2004 hit single, "Float On" (especially if you've played recent iterations of GH/RB), but they've been around far longer than that. Here's their bio: http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&searchlink=MODEST|MOUSE&sql=11:hifrxq9hld6e~T1

...to make a blog until today. XD

A couple of new things since last time... first, my sister has officially graduated from high school. She had the diploma ceremony this morning, and yes, it was boring. >_> Not much else to say, except that it's a little embarrassing that my sister (who's five years younger than me) got her HS diploma before I got my bachelor's degree. Oh well.

Also, as you can see, I have a new look devoted to a game I got today - Devil Survivor for the DS. I've only played a little bit of it, but I'm already sucked in. It plays a bit like The World Ends With You, a bit like Disgaea, and a bit like other, console-based MegaTen games. It's definitely interesting, but according to the GameStop guy I bought this from, it's selling fast. SMT has definitely risen in popularity lately, and I'm not surprised - the games are some of the best role-playing experiences around.

That's all from me... for now.

So I just finished a lengthy research term paper on the effects of Web 2.0. Needless to say, I'm glad that's over with. Just a couple more projects in two other classes and I'll be done with school for two months.

I recently saw the Star Trek movie. Overall I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Click the spoiler to find out why I didn't like it as much as I should've, but be warned - it may contain spoilers.

***SPOILER***
Also, as obligated, I have to put down my thoughts on MJ's untimely death. First of all, I'm just as shocked as most of you. I think he was a pioneer in his field back in the 80's, when "Thriller" redefined the essence of a hit album. I bought it myself (albeit off of iTunes at a discount last Halloween, when they were promoting it) and I enjoy many of the hit tracks, including "Thriller", "Beat It", and "Billie Jean". He will always be remembered for his early work, even if his reputation was tarnished in his later years. R.I.P.

That's about it from me. Now, if you're going to comment, please comment on more than the fact I reached level 44, kthx.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like vgm007.
vgm007 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could vgm007 possibly have for not rating a single film?
