Well, my old wireless router died. So, I went and bought a new one. And at first the new one worked, but then mysteriously the wireless component quit working. I can still use it fine with ethernet cables, but its a wireless router, so I shouldn't have to do that. They were both Linksys routers. One of my friends came over with his laptop to help verify that it was the router and not my comp, and sure enough, I just bought a brand new router that wasn't working properly.

I've had a lot of troubles in the past with various routers and I don't really know why. Maybe I just have bad luck with them. At any rate, they have become a major pain in the arse. So, I get to go back to Best Buy and exchange the router for one that MIGHT work. I'm thinking of getting a more expensive one. Maybe the ones I'm buying that are "cheap" are really junk. I have no clue. I just hope I get one that works and CONTINUES to work. Very frustrating.

I had a Linksys wireless router too, and true enough the wireless component started giving me problems as well. I "retired" it and went for a Dlink. No problem there. I still don't like wireless and will continue being wired, at least at my office (the wife hates all the cables at home).
