just wonderin cause i just got 61 stars and deafeated bowser and i was wonderin if i still beat the game even though i didnt collect all stars. cause i really dont wanna collect another 60. so have i beat the game with 60 stars and defeating bowser or do i have 2 collect 60 more???

If you want to play as Luigi, then you need to get all 120 stars.

If you collect 120 stars you can play as Luigi. Everyone's already mentioned that, but once you have Luigi if you get 120 stars with him as well then you'll be able the get the final star for a total of 121. Keep at it, but the las 25 stars or so are the longest.

It takes a lot of time to get the 120 stars, but playing with luigi its pretty cool =).
