Holidays...!

@ all...

The exams...boring, moronic, troublesome..as you may call them...are finally over at my place, and I have got time to breathe, something that I'd getting to do after first of June...!

This time, unlike other breaks, that I had spent aimlessly, I had a few things lined up.

Talking to my friend, I got the CDs of Age Of Empires III: War Chiefs, Need For Speed: Prostreet and Doom 3, Call of Duty 2...good ones to play, IMO.

Next, with Brisingr realeasing at the end of last month, I had fortunately got it for my Birthday, which was on 21st of September.

AOE III

The game was good, worth my time, and the pirated disc I had installed the game using. Some characters like Amelia Black and Pierre Beaumont were excellently featured, and the last movie strip/cut scene, which was just after we finished the last level of that 3rd Act, is an awesome motion picture that entranced me for a while.

Also fascinating me were the swaying of ships, and the wonderful cheat that my friend had told, which would create a monster truck that would destroy anything and everything on land. I used the cheat sparsely though, so I could derive complete gaming experience.

Otherwise, the graphics of cannons, locomotives......and the story was a good one, compable to many other games of high stature...!

NFS Prostreet

I had actually bought the game for my brother, who liked more of racing games than any other.

The gaming experience started with a wonderful protest by the install wizard that seemed to bother me for while. After a good advice from lightwarrior, it did work, and it was nice to play, but for the same old theme of the racing genre. It was quite sometime since I had played a racing game since the last game I had played before, of this genre was NFS Underground 1, which released about 4 years ago, I believe....(my memory'e getting bad...!)

As always, the cars looked good, which din't take to my fancy, but handling was much different from the previous ones...and a good time I had with it.

Doom3

What do I say about this one...? Its an excelent one...as far as I've played it....)I only started it today) and the constraints of mask, torch and single handedness tested my speed and agility....really..!

As for Call Of Duty, Im yet to start it, and I shall tell you when I do.

Now, to Brisingr.

I had started reading the book on the day my holidays had started, 4th Oct, and finished the book yesterday. The book stands apart from any other fantasy book I've ever seen, even from its own prequels. The standard, and the age group of story exactly fit my level of comprehension, and thus I best understood this book, than any other.

Some quips from the book:

>> The Book does not reveal anything about the third rider at all....and nor do any of the characters bother much about it.

>>Eragon is pleased to get a new sword at last, which he names 'Brisingr'. The coolest part about the sword, I shall reveal not.

>>Eragon meets a god.

>>Oromis, and Glaedr, instructors of Eragon and his dragon, Saphira reveal the secret behind Galbatorix's increasing strength, and thus a potential vulnerability.

Some of the spoilers, that are actually obvious.

>>Roran and Katrina get married, and expect a child.

>>Orik is the successor of Dwarf King Hrothgar

>>Brom is Eragon's dad, and not Morzan.

Im really sorry for crushing your suspenses from the book, but I ought to share this with someone.

Well, I shall conclude this blog here, and withdraw for a good night's sleep..!

So that's it,
