Well, its about time to do the 2 year upgrade rutine.
Upgraded everything except my graphics card which is an ATI HD 4870 with 1GB of DDR5 memory. Must admit it was a really good buy when you look at price vs performance ration compared to the other cards on the market (at the time of purchase).
When it comes to buying computers I always build the components with best performance vs price ratio.
Now here is a list of all the components.
CPU : Intel Quad Core i5 750, OC to 4ghz. (with Zalman CPU Cooler 9900 cpu cooler).
M/B : MSI GD65 (P55 chipset)
RAM : 4GB, OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666
HD : For OS I use a 74GB WD Raptor Disc (10k rpm), for storage I use two 500Gb Samsung 7200rpm discs in RAID 0. Plus a 1TB external HD for backup purposes (seagate).
Chassi : Cooler Master HAF 922
Best of all, this only set me back 4436 NOK (norwegian Kroners).
Here is an conversion for you foreigners : 4436 = 779 USD, 525 EURO, 467 GBP
Finally I am download my most anticipated game of the year!
I love xfire and have been using it for many many years now and when I noticed that the new xfire online store sells dragon age origins I had to try it out.
Found out that the xfire store is really metaboli, which I have used to some extent in the past and I was and still am really satisfied with the speed and service. They promised me my download link and key 00:01 3 november, but I even got it 1 minute before time (could just be that our clock differentiates with 1minute).
One thing Im not that satisfied with right now is that it seems metaboli limits me to 1MB/sec download. But im not in a hurry since I have been waiting for this game for 2+ years, so I guess I can wait an hour or so more ![]()

Majesty 2, arrival and pricing.
Majesty 2 arrives tomorrow or wednesday at the latest (its been sent from the vendor) and I cant wait to play it ![]()
It reminds me how bad prices are on the steam-store tbh.
Lets face it, I paid 109 Norwegian Kroners (NOK) for it with postage fees included. Too make this more readable for the international viewers (if any), im going to convert.
109 NOK = 12.57 Euros / 18.39 USD / 11.07 GBP
Now lets go to the steam store and see how much I saved buying the game retail. Ok, the price in steam is :
39.99 Euros.(49.72 USD / 29.93 GBP / 294.69 NOK)
Now lets see how much money I have saved ; 33.99-12.57 = 21.42 euros.
Too international users (inlcuding norway) I saved ; 21.42 Euros = 185.71 NOK / 31.33 USD / 18.86 GBP
In other words, I paid less than half price. And the best part is that I get my game tomorrow, while if I purchased the game on steam I would have to wait until the 18th of September.
A friend just posted some awesome gameplay of him and some friends (including me) playing the left 4 dead demo on expert (the second time we played the demo). And he posted another movie where we were doing syncronous dancing in Champions Online.
