GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

In my last blog I said I placed 34th in the Unlock The Achievement scavenger hunt. Well, the prize I got was Battle for the Pacific for the Xbox 360 and 200 Microsoft points... I was gonna give the points away to a friend, but she kinda tricked me into using them myself... LOL Anyway, I haven't played the game yet, but looks like it got bad reviews. I'll still try to milk those gamerpoints out of it though.

If you want to get yourself a free game, you can go to goozex.com and register and you'll get 100 points (which is basically what they use as currency). BUT if you sign up using a referral link, you will get an extra 100 points after your first trade (you have to give the person that sent you the game positive feedback to get the extra points). So you can get 2 free 100 point games! Most of the 100 point games are older ones, so there are quite a few available on last-gen systems. It's 100% legit... there a quite a few people I know on another forum who have successfully traded, and icstars2 from right here on GameSpot just got Sneak King for the Xbox 360 yesterday or the day before. And right now I'm waiting for someone to send me Kameo. So join up and get yourself 2 free games!

And also, visit my Xbox 360's blog because... well, because I want you to.

The only selectable countries are the US, Canada and Bermuda........

I selected Bermuda, think they'll ship to Ireland anyway?

zomg your advertising seconds what woodrew had to say
also I don`t think they would send it here to the UK *shakes head*

Meh, I'll take the moderation. Not like I use this site much anymore anyway.

@ Gallion/Katsuri - If they did ship to UK/Ireland, you'd get a game that you couldn't play in your systems.

Ok, I have Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance as a request...do I just wait now, or is there something else I need to do?

Well, for me, MGS2 is listed as 350 points... unless you bought some more points, or traded in a game to someone else, then you should only have 100 points right now.

The way that I search for games, is I click on whatever system I'm looking for, then click on 'available' on the left side of the screen. That gives you all the games that are ready to ship right now for a particular system. Then, at the top of the page, there's a drop-down menu to sort the games several ways. I always sort them by points, because all of the 100 point games are listed first.

When you find a game you want, you just add it to your requests, and you don't have to do anything after that. Goozex will match you up with someone and they will send you your game.

But to get another 100 points after your first trade, you have to give the person that sent you the game positive feedback.

It's the Xbox version. Only 100 points for some reason, while the PS2 one is 350.

Ohhh, ok. Well, when you were searching, did you click on 'Available'? Because for me it says 2 people have it on "hold" which means they aren't ready to send it yet. When you're looking for a game, make sure you either click on available, or look at the trading info for that particular game. That tells you if anyone is ready to send it yet or not.

But I'm in Canada, so it might just be listed different for me. If you look at the trading info and it has at least 1 person "ready" then all you have to do is wait.

Ok, nevermind, I understand the site now. I don't actually keep to keep the game. Heh, I feel stupid now. I'm not really interested in it then.
Posted Jun 1, 2008 2:22 pm PT
Yeah, you do get to keep the game. It's a trading website. You can send other people your games for points too, if you want... and they keep it.

Ok...now I REALLY feel dumb.

Thanks for taking the time to clear that up.

Good news, it has shipped.
Posted Jun 11, 2008 7:36 pm PT
Awesome! Hope you get it soon! And don't forget to leave some good feedback when you get it... I want us both to get an extra 100 points afterwards.
