Anyone have a clue why it's so damn hard to find a job when you're first starting out? It's killin me. Everyone wants experience but to get some someone has to give you a job. I've been searching high and low for over 4 months now and still nothin. I wish people would just take a chance on me and give me a shot ya know.

For those of you who don't know I graduated law school recently so I'm looking for a job as a lawyer. You would think that after years and years of every adult telling you to go to law school or med school because you'll get a job there would actually be a job for you when you got out. Apparently, the adults left out the fact that even after law school it still isn't easy getting one.

Oh well what can you do. In the meantime I'll just have fun talking to all my friends on here and updating the new blog I started. It's been so much fun and now that I've had it going for abouta week I'm starting to get a bunch of TV reviews up there for many different shows. Please come and check it out and most importantly give me some feedback...I'm new to the blogging world so I need it. http://tvgeniereview.blogspot.com/

By the way, I read an article on blogging and it said that for google's ratings if you put outgoing links in your blog it decreases your rating. I have a bunch of links to blog search engines I need to post. Does anyone know how to post them without it decreasing the rating of my homepage? Thanks

I know that finding a job, especially the first one (not being in a fast food restaurant and stuff) sucks. Like really sucks. It is the same over here. There's no way to have experience until someone decides to trust you for the first time. So many years of effort at College seem to suddenly mean nothing. It is pretty frustrating indeed.

Well, this may serve for nothing, but I had a friend in NY who moved like 10 days ago to LA. She worked as a Counselor at Law and was really happy there. She arrived in NY knowing no English and these people gave her a chance and she has been now working for 3 years there. She will keep working for them in LA, actually. But since she moved she left a vacancy, so I'll pm you the details of the Company just in case you feel like sending your CV there or something

I'm sorry but I have no idea on the decreasing of rating bit. I'm pretty challenged for those things. Have a nice day *hugs*

I can't find a job either. Massage Therapy sucks. I hope it goes better for you. I'm not sure what to do about that blog question though. Remember, go where the lawsuits happen!

Hahaha thanks guys. Getting this first job is definitely tough. When I'm older if I ever have the opportunity to make hiring decisions I hope I remember this and give a few first years a shot.

Oh wow, I am really sorry that you cannot find a job... But you are right, they all want to have experienced people, but no one is willing to let you make the experience. Wow, lawyer... impressive. My brother is a lawyer and he always impresses me with the huge amount of knowledge he has, so here you have my respect!!!
I really hope you'll find a job soon, coz I bet you deserve a really good one!

RATS!
I know exactly what you mean!!!
First they don't take you because you have no experiance and then when you have collected some, you are too old !!! I know what I am talking about!
I seemed to be too old with 30 !!! Don't talk about me being in my 40s now

I just hope you will find a good job and will have a joyful life

I know what you mean about finding a job being hard, all you can do is keep putting yourself out there and hope for the best. My sister and brother in-law are both lawyers too maybe they were just lucky to find jobs right out of law school who knows. Best of Luck though!!
