Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a good weekend!
Serenity - Containing Spoilers
Wow. As you know I really wasn't the biggest Firefly fan, it was a good show and I liked it but I suppose I never understood why it was so loved. Serenity on the other hand, completely freaking rocked! I'm not really sure why I liked the film more than the TV series, but it just felt better to me. The storyline flowed well and there were enough twists and turns to keep me excited. There was quite a bit of action, some humour, and the characters were the same as they were on the small screen. The deaths were shocking I suppose, but I didn't really care too much since I didn't really like those particular characters, and Wash's death was just so quick and brutal, like this poley thing went through him, poor Zoe. Character wise, River is still the bestest! It was nice seeing her kicking butt and going crazy, and Summer Glau is one of the better actors on the movie. I liked the last scene a lot, with Mal and River piloting the ship that was fun, and also the scene towards the end with Simon and Kaylee about to have sex and you see River's head looking down on them.
Rating: 9/10 - much better than the TV series, in my opinion.
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog - No Spoilers
I'm sure a lot of you watched it, what did everyone think? I liked it, but not as much as everyone else seems too. It was good, funny, enjoyable and so on...I suppose I was thinking it would be as good as Joss Whedon's other musical, the masterpiece Once More, With Feeling and in that sense I was sort off dissapointed I suppose. Good overall though, 6/10 and I'll definitley be buying the DVD.
Smallville Season Four - Spoilers
I have been rewatching Smallville from the beginning for the past few monthes, and at times I've disliked the show quite a bit (seasons one and two were a lot suckier than I remembered) but seasons three and four have rocked. I like almost everything about season four, it has it's flaws but it is definitley one of Smallville's better years. And so, here are my top five episodes of the season...
05. Forever
Highschool never ends, it seems. A meteor freak episode which isn't irritating, a crazy photographer is abducting the 'most likely too's including Chloe and Lana. I'm not sure why I loved it so much, but it's fun!
04. Crusade
Follows on from the many cliffhangers of the season three finale so well and introduces Lois Lane who immediatley makes an impression.
03. Spell
I'm not a huge Kristin Kruek fan, mostly since Lana can be the most irritating character ever but she does well here as the evil witch Isabel from ye olden days. It's funny, and isn't trying to be taking too seriously.
02. Spirit
Smallville is rarely funny, but this has to be the funniest episode in it's entire run. Crazy prom queen wannabe is possessing people resulting in some hilarity. Martha Kent singing Ashlee Simpson was freaking hilarious, I haven't laughed so hard at Smallville. Lana Lang screaming 'No! I don't know what ya mean!!!' hilarious, and of course Chloe winning prom queen after writing a 'Boycott the prom' article was just awesome.
01. Commencement
One of the best episodes Smallville has ever had, probably my favourite after 'Freak' and 'Delete'. The crazy events were just so fun, the clock counting down to the meteor shower made everything tense, the meteor shower itself was nuts, and everything else. Chloe saving Clark from the kryptonite, and pushing Lex into the cave was awesome! Lana/Isabel stabbing Jason's mummy Genieve was great (and because the stone got covered in blood, set the events of the metoer shower). It just freakin' rocked. Edge of your seat stuff.
Favourite Characters
01. Chloe Sullivan - well, Chloe is my favourite character in every season of Smallville, she's just amazing. I loved this investigative reporter, and everything about her!
02. Lex Luthor - Lex spices up this show, he's getting slightly more evil each season.
03. Lionel Luthor - Interesting no matter what he is doing.
04. Lois Lane - Lois was perfect this season, I tend to dislike her in the later years but maybe my rewatching of season five will prove me wrong.
05. Martha Kent - Annette O'Toole is wonderful, it's a shame Martha is so underused and that moment in 'Spirit' would have been enough to get her here!
Recent Purchases
I have bought The OC seasons three and four finishing my collection, and South Park season seven...and Serenity but you already knew that!

06. Veronica Mars
05. Alias
04. South Park

That is this blog done! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Also, my title is a quote from Scrubs for those who were wondering...
Birthday
Yesterday was my birthday, and unsurprisingly I still feel the same age. Oh well. Anywho I got money but haven't bought much so far. I've bought Futurama: The Beast With A Billion Backs, Okami for Wii, a pizza and a banana and orange smoothie thingy.
My money will probably be gone by next week, I'll need something to keep me occupied.
Angel - My Top 10 Episodes
There will be SPOILERS!!! for those of you who haven't seen Angel all the way through. I was looking over some of my blogs and I had realised that I never did a top ten Angel episodes, so I'm gonna do a teeny little countdown now.
10. Smile Time
Angel is transformed into a wee little puppet man, making this one of the funniest things you shall ever see!
09. Billy
This was absolutely frakkin' crazy. Seeing all the males in LA go nuts and start hating women was quite hard to watch, especially since the sweet Wesley started chasing Fred around the hotel like a mad man! Made for awesome TV though.
08. Apocalypse, Nowish
I loved almost everything about this, the raining fire, the beast, the general crazyness was awesome. I hated how it was explained with Jasmine a few episodes later, but that doesn't make this anyless brilliant.
07. Darla
This gives us an insight into Darla's character, how she became a vampire, her relationship with the master. It's just great.
06. Fredless
A nice little episode centered on Fred, its easy to watch and just great fun. It was nice seeing Fred properly becoming one of the group, and not leaving for home with her parents.
05. Five By Five
Faith goes mental and starts torturing Wesley and trying to kill Angel. Enough said.
04. Birthday
Alternate Universe + Cordelia centric = Awesomeness.
03. Orpheus
A great episode with two of Sunnydale's finest helping out team Angel. Faith and Willow are awesome as usual, and the whole hour is just great entertainment.
02. Not Fade Away
A fitting end, Team Angel will keep on fighting.
01. Reunion
Darla and Dru team up to take down Angel. This manages to be hilarious, and dark at the same time. Easily my favourite episode.
Honourable Mentions: You're Welcome, Lullaby, Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been, To Shanshu In LA, Home
TV Shows I May Or May Not Get Into
Just a teeny blurb of TV that I'm thinking of getting into, but that doesn't mean I will get into them. I have loved what I've seen from 30 Rock, it's a really funny show and I will have to buy the DVD of the first season eventually. I'm thinking of getting into LOST, since almost everyone has their opinions on it and I've seen like two episodes. E4 are airing Gilmore Girls reruns and that seems like a decent show from what I've seen. So there you have it, three shows I'm thinking of getting into. I'd say it's likely that I'd get into Lost, and eventually start watching 30 Rock.
Movies
Quick thoughts on some movies I have seen rece
ntly, you know the drill!
Futurama The Beast With A Billion Backs was much better than the first direct to DVD movie, Bender's Big Score. This was much funnier and had a more over the top storyline that the last film, very good overall. Rating 8/10
You, Me and Dupree Oh God, why did I watch this? I thought it was terrible from start to finish, barely had any funny parts at all and it just wasn't entertaining for me, I probably only watched all of it 'cause of extreme lazyness as usual! Rating: 3/10
Accepted This was a lot better than I expected, it was really predictable and not really funny, but enjoyable nonetheless. It was nice seeing Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl) in something else. Rating: 5.5/10
Addicted To Love was a bit odd, since the main storyline follows to people stalking their exs, who happen to be living together, but Meg Ryan and Matthew Broderick are fun in their roles and the movie is enjoyable. Quite odd, but enjoyable. Rating: 6.5/10
John Tucker Must Die was much better than I had expected it to be, it could be quite funny in places and I think Brittany Snow is a good actress, and Jenny McCarthy is always fun! Rating: 6/10
Bye everyone, thanks for reading or pretending to read.
Have a nice Thursday! ![]()
Looks like I'm blogging more and more recently because of the free time I have with the Summer! This blog is basically my top 10 main characters in a TV show. However, I haven't included shows which have multiple leads such as Charmed, Friends or Nip/Tuck and so on and so forth! I've also included a sort of unofficial lead, anyway...
My Top 10 Main Characters - TV
10. Allison DuBois - Medium
I've seen very little Medium, but it is easy to see that Allison is a wonderful character played by a terrific actress. From what I've seen, she is the heart and soul of the show.
09. Sarah Connor - Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
One of the stronger points of The Sarah Connor Chronicles is Sarah Connor herself, shes a strong, intelligent woman and shes great to watch!
08. Gil Grissom - CSI
CSI isn't really the type of show you watch for the characters, but it really is a bonus that there are some great characters on the show, and Grissom is definitley one of the more fascinating characters on the show.
07. Meredith Grey - Grey's Anatomy
I love Meredith Grey when shes being her dark and twisty self, or if she's trying to be light and shiny. At times she can be a bit much, but overall shes very entertaining.
06. Dexter Morgan - Dexter
Dexter is...interesting, to say the least. There is just something so, well interesting about a serial killer who happens to be a serial killer. I like that the writers can show him as human, it is pretty odd to actually be sympathising with him.
05. Buffy Summers - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
What is there to say about Buffy that hasn't been said already? Buffy is one of the main reasons to be watching BTVS, her journey throughout the show was a joy to watch.
04. Angel - Angel
Angel, the show in my opinion may not be as good as the mother series, but I'd say as lead characters they are about equal. An interesting and complex character that managed to hold his own as a lead TV character.
03. Sydney Bristow - Alias
From the end of the first episode of Alias, I was hooked. A lot of this due to Jennifer Garner's character, Sydney Bristow. Sydney is one of the main reasons to watch the show, sure the non-stop action and crazy plots are great, but you need someone like Sydney, to continue watching the show.
02. Eric Cartman - South Park
The unofficial lead character of South Park, Eric Cartman's wild antics are definitley the main reason to tune into the show.
01. Veronica Mars - Veronica Mars
No list of the best lead characters on a television show is complete without Veronica Mars. Veronica isn't your average teenager, shes an intelligent, witty, hilarious young woman who will tazer you if you get on her bad side.
Trusted!
I'd just like to thank mackymacaspac for making me trusted for Melissa George, who you may know as crazy spy lady Lauren Reed from Alias.
