Hey all,
I just recently found out that GIMP was free, which is great because i always wanted a program to make myself sigs/banners/avatars. Im not some great artist and i still have alot to learn about this program, but any work that i come up with will be posted in my image sections. If you like my work you can try and request something and ill see what i can do. Ive made a sig and a banner thus far, not sure if i can make an avatar yet.
My banner is MUCH better than my first sig IMO. So if you could comment on them that would be cool too =). Also any tips are welcome. In addition to any of that, if someone could tell me how to get different styles of text,or brushes for GIMP that would be awesome. Thanks!

lol well you picked the wrong weekend Dfan, lol, Im leaving for connecticut in about 90 minutes and il be driving for the next two days. And Sunday I wil probably spend unpacking, maybe the weekend after this one?

Anyway, the banner. Very nice for your first banner. In fact, I am a bit suprised at how good it looks. There are two problems though.
1. NEVER upload to GS. Use another site that doesn't shrink your images. Try photobucket and imagehustler. Imagehustler is much better but you might want to have two
2. NEVER put anything in .jpg again. Use .png. It has much better quality and allows you to use transparency. I'm still amazed at how good your first banner came out. Nice job ^_^

Rhf is right .png images are much better ,but u cant use .png images most of the time since they r much larger and the a file can only be 50kb max

RHF is right about png. I should start doing that... O.0 Anyway about GS. If you want to see the full image all you have to do is click on "veiw full size". So GS doesn't really suck that much.

yep awesome on your stuff, the banner is awesome, I'm using ganon now (he's my 2nd main) I have also downloaded GIMP and I have uploaded all my work on my images section on my profile
