Great character actor. Subtle humor, and consistent.
It's hard to believe he was acting - my highest compliment to an actor.
Barney Miller had a tremendous cast with great character development -- all were terrific, but Gregory deserved an emmy because he was not one of the good guys and received little attention - but watch those reruns - he was consistently great.
