Notes From The Underground

Painkiller, this is truly a manly game. It takes all of the complicated bells and whistles of new games, escorts them out back, asks them nicely to leave, then shoots them in the back of the head as they walk away. Apart from the brazen disregard for what has now become known as depth, Painkiller's story, plot and characters are timeless. Good verses evil with the vengeful right hand of God being someone that we can all relate to. But seriously, f*ck all that sh*t, this game is fun. It only asks that you be able to murder, and murder frequently. F*ck the devil and all of his many grotesque forms, I've got a gun and a spinning blade, so why don't you come on over and take a seat on it Lucifer.

So I put together my box with the new mobo and everything is perfect. I mean I am getting rediculous at wiring, my case look immaculate. I get Windows installed and tweaked perfectly. I go to play a game and what to I see? Total screen corruption. I tone down the frequencies on my GPU's and then I just get random crashes. Two more advance RMA's and another week without my computer. Excuse me while I go hit the wall and zero out my disks, again!

Well folks, it's official, I am actually stricken with grief. This whole mess started with a faulty motherboard. I called EVGA and, as always, they came through in the clutch. My new motherboard is being crossed shipped to me and will arrive tomorrow. My problem is that since I will be adding new hardware, i.e. a motherboard, and a new set of bad@ss Corsair Dominator ram, and I am a perfectionist I have to zero out my disks and reinstall Windows. This being my first build is really special to me, more than I thought it would ever be. Spending countless hours researching parts, reading how-to's on overclocking, and then spending even more hours perfecting my system is truely a labor of love. With a messed up motherboard and a bad set of OCZ ram I scored 17,513, or something like that, on 3DMark06 so I'm really hoping that with this new, non faulty board and new athletic ram that I will break 18,000. I am typing this on my mac but it's just not the same: it's not as fast, cool looking, cool sounding or fun as my computer. I love technology and now, I love my computer!

traviswitmer must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could traviswitmer possibly have for not rating a single film?
