I can't really decide which one is the best becuase to me they're both awesome.
they're both filled with action packed moments with lots of graphics,blood and gore.halo and gears are so alike ,some of their beasts and awesome weapons are similar they are just great.
to me they are video games that video gamers should own.

They are similar but are very different and depend on your preferences on games. But I like both and realy can't say even though Gears' AI allies suck but halo 3's AI allies driving skills suck too.

I haven't played GoW yet, and am not really a big Halo fan. But Halo is going to have to win this one for me, because some of my friends have it, and it would be nice to have it for multiplayer on LIVE. I don't even really like Halo all that much, but might pick it up anyway, just to be able to play with my friends on LIVE. Personally, I never saw what was so special about Halo anyway. Generic levels, no music (except in places for effect), uninspired looking enemies, and repetitive gameplay. And there are a ton of awesome games that are out and are coming out in the future. Ex. Ghostbusters (the 360 version), GTA 4, Super Mario Galaxy, the Wii Zapper w/ Link's Crossbow Training, and many more. Does anyone know if the Orange Box is better than Halo 3?
