I m not one for horror so this one definitely had me jumping out of my seat the mystery exciting the plot was excellent, every minute had me wondering what was coming next and where we would end up after it happened. Not too much blood and gore, but the special effects were believable which is what you want. I did not see the twist in the end coming, which was kind of the point, and part of my brain still don’t understand how it happens but that s what sequels are for.

I've never thought of Selma Blair as a bad actress but her performance in Hellboy 2: The Golden Army was a lot less than believable. And I know I'm being quick to judge her by this one role because she was amazing in Cruel Intentions, Legally Blond, The Sweetest Thing, hey she was even good in Feast of Love but her Hellboy 2 performance is still bothering me and I think she should stick to certain rolls from now on, she can kick butt in the court room, the catholic school any where but really cool action movies. (No offense of course).

Breathless, this movie was amazing, action packed, comedic it couldn t have been better; well that s not true, Selma Blair could have delivered a few of those scenes a little better but the end product was still unbelievable. The plot, the fight scenes and of course the mythical creatures had me hooked after about ten minutes. As a new fan it really didn t matter whether you watched the first movie or not, as an independent film I loved it but as I sequel it put a smile on my face and I hope to continue this journey but I really don t want to see lil half hellboys.

Well Shutter was not the least bit scary as I expected it to be, I have honestly seen scarier things on Lifetime but scare factor aside it does have a lot of things working for it; the plot was good â€"though I figured most of it out during the first twenty minutes, the effects were good and it was entertaining, I especially liked the closing scene with Megumi lying on his back. It is a nice movie but there is not a lot of suspense and it does not scream thriller (and I an easily scared).

This was die on the floor funny. I made the mistake of passing comedy central as I was drifting into sleep at the end of her first joke I was wide awake and gasping for air. Incredibly hilarious and educational too; I sure learned a few things about the president, New Jersey and Men. It fell a little flat towards the end but that’s because of my age; some of those jokes just flew right over my head but still truly entertaining.

Beautiful, great installment to the mummy franchise. The Mummy 3 Tomb of the Dragon Emperor takes us on another great adventure but this time we re in China…most of the time. I loved the Imhotep references and the one liners that we ve come to memorize from the first two movies. The cast was brilliant, I fell in love with Brendan Fraser since the first movie and Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh are practically super heroes in my eyes. The Lord knows Maria Bello tried her best and she was good but Rachel Weisz will always be my Evy; she was missed in this film. By the gleam in Jonathan s eyes in the closing scene I have a feeling we haven t seen the last of the O Connell s and the mummies they most certainly will raise from the dead.

This is the only animation movie I watched this year and there is a reason for that. Kung Fu Panda is not just for kids alone but a real family movie. For me it was not about watching a big fat Panda but watching the plot unfold. I especially liked the voice cast, which was probably wasted on the little ones, but I appreciated hearing some of Hollywood s best behind those incredibly colorful characters. The fight scenes where actually better than some of the action movies that came out this year, two thumbs way way up.

Well about a half step up from the 2003 version of Hulk. The first hour or so of the movie had me sitting waiting for the “Abomination” to appear but the last forty-five minutes made it worth the wait, the final battle between the Abomination and the Hulk was extremely entertaining; maybe the only entertaining part of this movie. Certainly not on the same level as other comic book action movies that came out this summer, such as: Hancock, Wanted and Dark Knight but Marvel tried and it came off as good as expected.

Impressive improvement since the first, The Dark Knight was about two and a half hours but it wasn t long and drawn out like other action movies, each scene, each second served an important use towards making this movie great. The gadgets, the action and of course the plot makes this the Action movie of ’08. Had I not known before hand that Heath Ledger was the man behind the make up I would have never known, this was the most disturbing, blood crawling, evil mastermind Joker I have ever seen. I’m not the biggest Batman fan but I do love my DC comics and I for one thinks that this movie did Batman some justice, I don t know about you guys. Looking forward to the end of the trilogy (fingers crossed).

For all you action lovers who went to see Wanted prepare for a big surprise, yes there is a plot. The movie isn’t just about trigger friendly assassins, ordinary people becoming assassins or Angelina Jolie looking hot, it actually manages to wrap extremely high flying action and a some what complex plot into one awesome summer flick. The plot builds up until the end and takes some unsuspecting turns but of course that’s the point, right down to the last semi-second they had me wondering what the F@&*’s gonna happen next. Though I know not all viewers will react the same way to the ending, I for one wouldn’t have it any other way.

There’s a new superhero in town and his name is John Hancock. Literally just saw Hancock like fifteen minutes ago and I declare that this is the hottest movie of ’08 or at least the summer. One of the reasons why I found this movie to be so awesome is maybe because I’m so used to superhero movies being overly publicized and an incredible let down in the end, not this time. I saw a few trailers that left me with a good enough impression but I did not expect to be blown out of my seat, this movie has more emotions rolled up into one that a seven month pregnant woman: it had comedy, action, and I almost shed a tear towards the end. I love the fact that the main plot can’t be seen in every trailer you watch, I expected to see a drunk with a few powers turn his life around and become the world’s next superhero, I ended up with so much more and I know that this is not the end of Hancock I except to see a sequel very soon. an even if there isn’t this movie is going to rock the Sci-fi world for years to come, prepare yourselves a force is coming.
