When People Are Asses

Okay, I'm not naming names, but those of you from the BWU probably know who I'm going to be ranting on today.  I'm REALLY angry today.  There are few people who really get my goat, but I have gotten worked up.  And once I'm worked up, I tend to be rash.  Which is why I'm posting in my blog instead of on the union forum.

I am about to leave the Book Writer's Union.  Seriously.  Because of ONE user who happens to be an officer.

What is a GOOD officer?  In my opinion, it is a person who has taken upon themselves to improve the union.  They make sure everyone enjoys themselves by adding to the content and conversations.  They enforce the rules to keep peace.

What is a BAD officer? Someone who abuses their power.  Someone who makes an experience unenjoyable and drives people from a union.  Someone who acts as if they are superior to their fellow members and makes a POINT of it.

Are there good officers at BWU?  Yes.  Yes, there are.  Is there a bad officer there?  Yes, most definitely, and that person is why I don't want to be around anymore.

This person has repeatedly abused power by threatening other users with moderation for very tame, very friendly, posts.  This person has personally insulted me, in a thread I made for the express purpose of promoting a unoin I had come to enjoy:  He has made a point of telling everyone that HE is an officer of the union and HE is running a contest and that he "is not liable" for my thread. What the hell?  Luckily, moderators deleted his post.  But now that that one is gone, another has popped up!

Someone reviving the idea of a writing prompt fopr a WRITING union seems like a good idea, right?  Well, for HIM, itr isn't, and he feels the need to degrade me in  front of other members of the union.

Well, I've had it!  Depending solely on the actions of the union's leader, I will decide whether to stay or leave.  But as it stands now, if this person is not either demoted or SEVERELY reprimanded and put in his place, I will be leaving.  This isn't the only community for writers on the web!
