I traded in 6 Wii games yesterday at gamestop. Most of the time I don't ever do that because of the low trade in values they give you but anyhow... When you trade in 6 you get 40% more value off the games and then I used my edge card for the extra 10%. I saw they had a buy 2 used get 1 free so I found 6 Ps3 games I wanted and traded equally across actually ending up with $3.50 more. Games I got were
Fallout 3
Dead Space
Farcry 2
Civilization Revolution
Metal Gear 4
Bioshock
I'm still stoked and can't quite figure out how I made out with such a nice collection after traded in some mediocre stuff.
Yesterday after coming back from a long trip I was able to open my PS3. I had bought a decent 22inch HD 1080p tv and I was planning on gaming the night away. I opened up the PS3 and sat for a few moments in awe over it's wonderful shimmering skin. I slowly pulled out the controller and cradled it in my hands. It was magnificent. Everything was perfect. I carefully sat my black box of joy down onto a nice surface and plugged it into the wall and the tv. I turned on the tv. I touched the power button on the PS3... It was so cold and nice. Immediately it powered on and told me to plug in that wonderful controller. I was happy to oblige and sat on my bed with glee just waiting to be able to start gaming.
The screen went black.....
What was this? I glared at the PS3.... It didn't glare back. All it's lights were turned off. The controller in my hands started flashing it's 4 little red lights and then gave up the ghost. I leaped from my bed astounded that this could happen. I hit the power button. Nothing happened. I plugged into another outlet. Nothing happened. I tried switching out power cables. Still the result was the same.
"WHY AM I TORMENTED SO?" I bellowed.
I reached down to the lifeless corpse and patted it on it's shiny torso...
"I will save you no matter what it takes. Even if I have to send you back to Sony..."
Meh now I'm waiting to get the stupid thing fixed.
The Devil Wears Prada new album is out as well, and I need to go pick it up. I wasn't to happy they left out a lot of the synth work in the last album that their earlier work had, but it was still a great release.
