Sony did it this time. All the things I said about PS3 I take back. It has totally proved itself. Yes 360 has the games but soon PS3 will and then some. It's a great durable machine.(Even though I'm on my second one) It's a great system and a decent Blu-ray player. The games is still lacking but PS3 is catching up to the 360. And it's just a matter of time before it beats the 360. MS should thought more clearly before they launched the 360. The PS3 is going to beat the Wii also.(that thing is junk) I hate that stupid console. The Wii..... AKA Gamecube 2. PS3 is were it's at!

But that about "hate"... it's a little nerdy, you know.
-According to NPD, the Wii also outsells the PS3 in Europe (170 000 versus 90 000 last week, that's a big difference, not something that can be called "just behind"). And in Japan the difference is 5 to 1.
-There's absolutely no reason to believe that the "Wii and the Flopbox 360 is going to be 6 feet under."
Yes, right know the PS3 is outselling the 360 but for few. Almost 30 000 units per week. The 360 has an advantage of 6 millions versus the PS3. At that rate, Sony will need something like 200 weeks (50 months, almost 4 years) to catch (just to catch) the 360.
Yes, MGS 4 will help, but it can't do the whole job alone. And GoW 2 will be a big support for the 360.
Don't let your fanboysm blind you. Right now the Sony PS3 is the last console, and nothing seems to indicate that it will change in the 2010.
ps oh yeah and by the way, the PS3 already helped win the "HD format war"like it did for DVD, It's just a matter of time before the PS3 gets 2600 titles like the PS2 did. Expect the Wii 2 in 2012. PS3 will still be here.
I'm glad you gave the PS3 a chance. I play both systems a lot, but the PS3 is my system of choice as well. Enjoy it and the great games soon to come. Oh don't forget MGS4 only a few weeks away!!
As for the 360 the turning point or fork in the road comes for every gamer who gets one of those... When you get the red lights (and you will get the red lights at some point in time on the earlier models atleast) will you a) breakdown and buy a PS3 to replace it? will you b) try to fix it yourself c) send it in for repairs or d) 2 of the above.
For me I chose d) I had bought one to replace the one that did not work at first but then that one broke down so then I tried to repair them with the towel trick? Worked for a while then they really needed to be repaired.
Unfortunately the first one was out of warranty even with the extended warranty. The second one wasn't so I sent it in...after having tried to repair the first by taking the first one apart.
In the mean time I had a deep yearning for some Dead or Alive and I wanted to play it so bad that I bought DOA 3 for the original xbox and practiced on that one till my 360 came back. Game is glitchy as heck but it tided me over.
They claimed they'd fix my 360 right? But it seems like I ended up with a new xbox 360 one that was manufactured this year! Oh and by the way I know its not my original one that I sent in because the graffitti I left on it is gone. I wrote where is my 360 on the box.
Oh and TheKey one more thing how the heck when you admittedly are on your 2nd PS3 can you stake a claim that one console is better than the other when it comes down to the 360 verses the PS3. I mean from a purely objective standpoint aren't they the same with regards to reliability? Other wise how come you went through one console for the PS3 and one for the 360. Had you bought another 360 would it not be your 2nd one too? Fanboyism that's all it is you've succumbed to it. I remember the day where you stated that it doesn't what console you're on as long as you are having fun playing the games that you like its winwin for you the consumer. Are we reneging have we had a change of heart with that regard? Does anyone else remember this? Furthermore I'm curious as I don't think I've seen it mentioned here. What exactly happened to your first PS3?
