Salutations,

I do enjoy talking games with the Wii community here on GameSpot, but there are some topics on the Wii boards that I have no time for. I completely respect that everybody is entitled to their own opinions, so please respect mine when I relay to you what I consider to be utter crap.

- "There are no good games for Wii" / "When are good games coming out for Wii"

There are plenty of good games for the Wii. If you would do your homework and realize that blood/HD/FPS doesn't equal a good game, you'd understand that there is plenty good to be discovered. Oh, and bite me.

- "Nintendo is for kids"

Yes, Nintendo is for kids, but it is also for adults. I am not a child anymore and I love Nintendo just as much as when I was young. I don't agree with the notion that colourful graphics, imaginative characters, and straight-forward gameplay are only meant to be enjoyed by children. Maybe I'm retarded... but, then again, maybe you are?

- "Nintendo is ignoring us"

No, they're not. Shut up.

-

I just made myself laugh!

Later!

I can understand some gamers being frustrated with Nintendo's line up this year. Still, there's way too many threads like that. Mods could at least make some stickies for those topics.

I once again find myself agreeing with you completely. Plenty of great games are available on Wii which should appeal to a wide demographic. Games like Mario Galaxy, Animal Crossing, Metroid, Smash Bros etc... are designed for everyone not just children and those are only first party examples. The current age of HD gaming seems to make people think that visuals are all that matter when really it is entertainment value that counts. Granted the Wii still needs a hockey game worth playing, and it could do with a good deal loss shovelware. But nonetheless the Wii has plenty to offer people if they would simply open their minds to things beyond the shiniest new graphics and games with the biggest new guns (which are fun also, just not valid reasons to assume Nintendo isn't promoting quality products)

Amen to that. I definitely agree with all your opinions. Those Nintendo bashing threads need to stop.

Indeed, we should ban those threads in order to post more important threads on the utility of the wiimote protectors

I totally agree with chiefmrbam about the need for a good hockey game.

What a turnout! Thanks for commenting, folks, and thanks, as well, for not throwing me out to the dogs. It's nice to see that I'm not the only crazy old bastard that feels this way (even if you are not crazy old bastards). I just can't help but feel that some of the people that post these topics aren't opening their eyes wide enough to see the light. There is much good to be found!

Oh, and the Wii definitely needs a hockey game. Badly!

Don't worry i'm definitely a crazy old bastard too. Hell, i'm still waiting on a Tin Star sequel or VC lauch... like thats ever gonna happen!

Ha, Tin Star! I forgot all about that one! I suppose the wait for a sequel is going on, what, fifteen years? I'd imagine that a sequel won't be coming, but I would never rule out a Virtual Console release. The game was published by Nintendo, after all... (Keep those fingers crossed!)

Agreed.
A piece of advice: Censor or remove that picture before the mods dock points off your account. They don't take kindly to the "F" word.
But **** 'em, right?

@bob_newman: Ha! Well put! (and thanks for the heads up, I'll get right on that...)
