Salutations,
Not to be smug, but I just had the best Christmas ever.
I don't know if my parents secretly won the lottery or what, but the amount of cool things I received this year is ridiculous. I actually feel a little guilty... but then I remember it's Christmas, and that's no time to be feeling guilty!
Unfortunately, I don't want to spend much time dishing out a bunch of written details (you'll see why), so I'm just going to share some photos of the cream of the crop;
v - 80GB Sony PlayStation 3. (!)
Finally!
Please, add me to your Friends list: - thebisonxrc

v - PlayStation 3 games (clockwise from top-left); Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Resistance 2, Lost Via Domus, NHL 09, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition, Socom: Confrontation (with mic).
Yes, I know, Lost Via Domus is the odd-duck. My mom knows I love the TV show, so she figured I would love the game. I have yet to play it, but if the average score on GameRankings means anything, I doubt I have much to look forward to.

v - Lost, Season 4 Blu-ray.
Oh, so sweet. I can't wait to watch through it all again.
v - $50 iTunes card, 2000 Wii points.
Yay! I'm addicted to music and iTunes, so $50 will go a long way. And the 2000 Wii points will be great for any upcoming WiiWare or Virtual Console titles that are worth my time.
v - John Lennon: The Life, 20 packs of hockey cards.
I love John Lennon and I love hockey cards. Score.
v - Old, tattered ZZ Top hat that I did not receive for Christmas, but felt was worth sharing, anyhow.
The best Christmas ever!
I will elaborate more later.
Cheers!

EDIT: How could I resist sharing this beautiful PS3 wallpaper? Hopefully my girlfriend does not want to play the system.

Hi folks!
Just a quick blog entry here, as I have a busy day ahead of myself. I am supposed to work from 4:15pm to 12:45am, then drive eight hours north to a small town named Thompson, in order to share Christmas morning with my family. Needless to say, it is going to be a terribly long day.
As rough as the next twenty-four hours may be for me, in the end it will all be worth it. I am near-certain that there will be a Playstation 3 under the tree and that has me enormously excited. Let's hope that it is actually true!
Anywho, I should run. I want to wish you all the best Christmas cheers and that your day is just as great as mine. Hopefully you all will be as happy as ever!
And remember, don't be upset if you don't get everything you asked for. We are going through tough economic times right now and everybody is feeling the heat.
Until next time...
Merry Christmas!
(I'll be back on the 27th, looking much like the Santa below.)

Hello,
Finally, the time has come. After years of taunting North American gamers with Japan-exclusive goodies, Nintendo has finally launched Club Nintendo on this side of the ocean. Let the hordes of "geeks and otaku" rejoice!
And there should be much rejoicing, because the North American version of Club Nintendo is exactly what gamers have been waiting for all these years. Well, sort of...
Club Nintendo hasn't arrived without it's problems. Throughout most of the day, the new site is barely operable at best. In fact, the only time I have been able to use it at all has been in the wee hours of the morning. Not good. Still, such problems should be expected, as the millions of Nintendo fans (myself included) who have been salivating over the idea for years rush to check it out.
When you do manage to squeeze your way into the site, it seems quite good. Technical issues aside, it's quite easy to register software, complete the surveys and collect your coins. Once you have collected your coins, finding your way to the items is also easy.
Which brings me to the items themselves; they are a great start. No, there aren't yet gorgeous Super Famicom Wii controllers, 2-disc Super Mario Galaxy soundtracks, or super-awesome SD cards with Nintendo music on them, but you have to believe that items of such quality will eventually be offered.
(Oh, and please give me one of these.)
At this point, the best items in my opinion are the Hanafuda Cards and the tacky, yet practical, Mario Game Rack.

Oh, and the DS Game & Watch Collection is sweet, as well.
Still, as cool as those items are, I don't plan on getting any of them. No, I'll be guarding my coins until something amazing comes along.
At this point, I have amassed a beautiful 650 coins, which has made me an immediate Platinum Member. I'm happy about that, because Gold and Platinum Members are given a gift at the end of the Club Nintendo year. And who doesn't love gifts?!
All-in-all, it's absolutely fantastic to finally have a Club Nintendo to call our own. With any luck, Nintendo will offer a top-notch service to those (such as myself) who spend a lot of hard-earned cash on Nintendo products.
I think after all these years, we deserve it.
Cheers!
- Besides all of the technical issues, how do you feel about the new Club Nintendo?
