I'm pretty sure most of you guys have heard about Hurricane Gustav, the hurricane that formed nearby Haiti on the 25th of this month. Now I'm from New Orleans, Katrina screwed my parents house and my mom has used over thousands of dollars (not all covered by insurance) to fix the house. A lot of people have been elevating their houses but it costs a lot of money to get that done and my moms house isn't even eleavted. It looks like it might come straight this way and some people are freaking out which isn't a big surprise. Lol, last time when Katrina came I was at school for a week, maybe It'll increase to two weeks this time. Our govenor has declared a state of emergency and there will probably be from 3,000 to 8,000 National Guard members ready for anything.

Well guys I don't know what's gonna happen, if I leave I'll give you guys some info on things but I doubt that you won't hear it on tv. Guess I'll just hope for the best for now, I really didn't want this to happen but hopefully it won't be too bad.

Just like your city thrived again after Katrina, it'll thrive after this one too...stay safe and secure.

I wrote about Gustav too in my blog even though I'm no where near it.

I feel sorry for you man. I live on Long Island and as you know, hurricanes don't hit here often. It must be a horrifying experience to watch your house be destroyed and to see people struggling to survive in deep water.
