We've saved you a spot on the beach.

We've poured you a beer.

We've pumped up the fun.

We've turned on the lights.

We're hot.

So where the bloody hell are you?

This blog is dedicated to those who can't make up their minds as to
where to travel this holiday season.

Well, as usual, I've made up your mind for you.

The holiday season is nearly upon us, and what better place to travel
than Australia! Forget Halo 3 for a minute and just think how awesome
it would be to come and visit our beautiful landscapes that vary from
endless sunbaked horizons to dense tropical rainforests to our chilly
southern beaches.

Anytime is good to come over here, but we're just about to get into
Summer, so now is the perfect time to travel over! Just throw all your
PS3s/Wiis/360s out the window and come and explore all of Australia's
natural beauty.

So, where the bloody hell are you going for this holiday season?

I'll probably go to Australia or New Zealand next year.
That's right. I've lumped you together with NZ. What are you gonna do about it?

I've always wanted to go to Australia....but I'm a little busy with Halo 3 0_o.

If you go to Australia - Make sure you go to Queensland. It has the best beaches: The Sunshine Coast; The Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise) & The Whitsundays, combined with the party capital of the country (the Gold Coast), & the coolest & the most laid back attitude of anywhere in Australia (from what I've experienced). Plus, if you go swimming here (in QLD) the water temperature is actually nice, as compared to somewhere like Sydney where it's generally low enough to ensure you don't see your testicles for quite some time afterwards.

I know where I'm going this holiday season.

Arizona!

If I couldn't live in the US, Australia would be the next place for me. My parents just went there on vacaction and loved it. Everyone was very friendly and the country was gorgeous. I was there once myself, but I only saw a small part. I visited the other side, the west. Perth to be exact. Had a college friend from there. I'd love to see Syndney, but I haven't had the chance to go back yet.

Australia seems like it would be a nice place to be. Though.. the girl in the pic... the "hot" one.. something looks wrong with her boobs to me... or her smile... it looks... sinister.

Anyways, I'd like to go over the east. Somewhere like England, Germany, or even Japan would be cool.

Australia sounds awesome.

Austrailia would be blast. Obviousaly the Kangaroos and stuff will be funny to mess with as well. But this holiday im staying home, and having a blast this winter with friends, family, the Master Chief, my 360 games, the masterchief, my wii games, and the Master Chief. Yeah go HALO 3.

Star -

Jandurine - New Zealand is a part of Australia whether or not people agree. I'm going there later this year actually (just went a while ago too)!

WhiteSox - Australia is more important than Halo.

Aqua - I actually agree. Queensland is the best. Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wet 'n' Wild Water World, the Gold Coast. Nice! But Melbourne > the rest for living, Queensland > the rest for holidays.

Tsug - I hope you get lost.

Yoshi - I didn't even notice that about the chick till you mentioned it. I think it's the eyebrows. Whatever, she's hot.

Sonic - Perth? Come visit a real city please. Queensland, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Sale. Not Perth. trystkl18 - It is awesome.

Jgchamp - A kangaroo can beat up Master Chief. Easy.

To wind up in Australia on a road trip across the US....that would take quite a mix-up. But with my family, I may have hope yet!

I would love to go to Australia. But instead, I'm being dragged to Texas. T_T

Sorry, I totally missed that you posted a new blog.

Australia sounds totally awesome to visit right now, especially contrasted with dreary, rainy Seattle. I love Seattle during the summer, but during fall and winter it is not pleasant.

There's "cow" for Sony, "sheep" for Nintendo, and "lemming" for Microsoft.....but is there a name for Australia fanboys?

How's life, btw? I haven't touched base with you in awhile. I've been swamped with school, work, student groups, you know how it is.

What've you been up to? Playin' any games?

ZM32 - Texas! As in close to where the Wizard of Oz lives! I wanna go there one day.

Tsug - A road trip around the US doesn't sound exciting at all (albeit I've never been to the US but you know...since when am I wrong about anything?). Tell your family that they give you free beer on your arrival here in Australia, and this will be sure to change your parents' minds.

Fuzz - I didn't know you lived in Seattle, that's in Washington yeah... There's a statue of someone from some era there. That's the only thing I know about the place...lol, I really should take a geography class.

Australian fanboys = bloody legends.

"Touched base" is Aussie slang for having sex btw...just a heads up for the future in case you meet a large Aussie who doesn't appreciate that sorta stuff.

I'm the same as you - swamped with school right now. Exams are over in about a month though so it's all good. Haven't played a game in a while now but that's only cause I've been studying for exams, and lots of assessments seem to be due right now. Good thing is, after the end of this year, I'm never doing psychology again! Can't wait. What's new with you? Anything interesting? President yet?

Not big on travelling myself. Change isn't one of those things that excites me. Although a few of those are....tempting (three guesses which ones.)
Posted Oct 6, 2007 7:56 am PT
I totally didn't know that about "touched base." In Americanese it means "catch up." Thanks for teling me that, saved me from getting beat up by a giant Australian man in the future!

Life's good. I've been busy but in between moments I've been trying to finish up Oblivion. Nowhere near president yet, but thankfully I'm not trying

I'll be very jealous of you when you're done with school in a month and enjoying the beautiful Australian weather. Good luck with exams!

I'd quite like to visit, but I can't see it happening anytime soon.
Posted Oct 6, 2007 4:22 pm PT
I'm in bloody New York, mate.
Posted Oct 6, 2007 9:16 pm PT
Endboss - Beer and hot women?

Fuzz - lmao, we have really weird slang. Some of is pretty gross too. Like, did you know a "liquid laugh" is actually "vomit". I dunno who comes up with this stuff but it's just crazy.

Thanks man. Can't wait till it's all over. Good luck for your studies too. Yes, you will be jealous, as I will be sure to rub it in.

SolidSnake - 5pm everyday here is beer o'clock. It's good incentive for everyone to travel here.

Dziekuje - Cool.

Actually, I've seen all the bugs in Australia on TV. I don't care what the women look like, I'm not going to Australia. Way to many big bugs and poisonous crap for me to deal with.
Posted Oct 7, 2007 2:17 pm PT
the-very-best: Bingo.

fatzombiepidgeon: I know what you mean. Call me a sissy, but I'm not a fan of monstrous bugs.
Posted Oct 7, 2007 5:04 pm PT
I would love to go to Australia.
Posted Dec 11, 2007 11:07 pm PT
i live in australia, and, imo, it's overrated. i'd way rather live in so many other countries...
