I've just returned it to my friend and I must say what an enjoyable experience, now I finally know what all the hype for this game was like! I must say it's a bit unfounded... this game is good but I certainly can't see how it garnered such a huge fanbase... I mean was it really because it was the first rpg experienced for some people?
I mean if FF 8 was the first of the PSX rpg's, would it be regarded in the same light, and have these "fanboys" swooning over rinoa? (shudder the thought)
I mean my first Final Fantasy experience was FF 4 on the gba. I must say I loved it, and immediately set to work on playing and anticipating all of them, so next was FF 5 and then 6, all on the gba. FF 4 is the game that convinced me to start enjoying rpg's, the best game genre ever, and with it came a whole slew of games for me all at once. I must say I'm now overwhlemed with the amount of rpg's I have to go through when I was so rpg starved last year

anyway I've already played the awsome Tales of Symphonia back in December, and hope that the sequel for the Wii can live up to the namesake and all.
The other good thing I can say about this game that is the first RPG I ever played. It may not be the best game ever but it's something worth noting.
I really don't see the huge fanbase about it as well.
