Hey everyone. I just got Uncharted 2 today.. It was quite an epic journey getting the game! My friend and I rode our bikes all the way to Gamestop, which was quite the journey and took up most of our afternoon. But it was totally worth it. My friend and I both bought our copies of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
So when I get home, what's the first thing I do? Throw my backpack on the sofa and pop in Uncharted 2, that's what!
Obviously, I headed straight for the Campaign section of the game. I don't intend on playing any multiplayer until I finish the campaign, since the story is just so damn engaging. I can tell I'm going to regret sleep in a few minutes, because I just need to find out what happens next in the story... But, such is life. Or, video games, I should say. Anyway... Moving on.
The controls, and how the player moves Drake about the environment, are top-notch. Perfectly done. I honestly could not ask for a better way for Naughty Dog to improve the controls.. All of the issues in the first game are cleared up in the sequel (such as odd diving into cover, Nate running around at points as if he's high..) and the gameplay has been greatly improved overall. I'll write a review on the game once I finish the story mode and have played a few multiplayer matches.
Well, enough of Uncharted 2. I feel like talking about something else, something that's been troubling my mind lately.
I'm taking Driver's Ed. at my school now, and it's sorta frightening, to tell you the truth. I don't want to drive. I don't want to have the responsibilities of being a driver... Not yet, not now. I'm nervous something bad might happen to me on the road. And I don't want to worry about any of that... But alas, my school has made quite the bad mistake. Why you ask? Well, here's why.
My birthday is in July. And.. I'm taking Driver's Ed., now..... Why? Wouldn't it be much easier for me if I took the subject towards the end of the school year, closer to my birthday? So I could actually remember some of the material for the driving test?! *Sigh*
Oh well. I'll just have to manage, I suppose.

Well that's all for now, guys.. Hope you all are having a good time. Take it easy, everyone.

(P.S. Sorry I've been sounding like a Debbie-Downer recently, life just has been really difficult... And I have a ton of projects to work on tomorrow, all of which are due friday. Ugh.. Wish me luck, everyone. I hope things are better in you're lives than mine right now).

I have one question regarding Uncharted 2 if you could please answer or message me back: Is the gunplay improved? Thats the problem I found with the first. Thanks
@M0wen10: I sent you a PM already, but I'll say it again here. The gunplay is greatly improved.. No longer do the enemies twitch crazily when shot
@Ifnot: Yeah, I hope driving isn't as difficult as it seems! And I'm praying that we'll be able to connect online for Uncharted 2. Once we finish the story let's give it a go, see if the connection works
@Superzone: Agreed. Like I said in the blog, my friend and I went on an epic bike journey to get our copies of the game, and it was so worth it.
@Slimdave21: Hehe... You make a good point there about the Burnout Platinum
I hear ya on the driving thing, I've wondered why Erin took it months, months before she could actually try to get her license myself. Hm.
Well, at least you have a game that you're digging to immerse yourself into. That's good.
