Hey everyone. I just got Uncharted 2 today.. It was quite an epic journey getting the game! My friend and I rode our bikes all the way to Gamestop, which was quite the journey and took up most of our afternoon. But it was totally worth it. My friend and I both bought our copies of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

So when I get home, what's the first thing I do? Throw my backpack on the sofa and pop in Uncharted 2, that's what!

Obviously, I headed straight for the Campaign section of the game. I don't intend on playing any multiplayer until I finish the campaign, since the story is just so damn engaging. I can tell I'm going to regret sleep in a few minutes, because I just need to find out what happens next in the story... But, such is life. Or, video games, I should say. Anyway... Moving on.

The controls, and how the player moves Drake about the environment, are top-notch. Perfectly done. I honestly could not ask for a better way for Naughty Dog to improve the controls.. All of the issues in the first game are cleared up in the sequel (such as odd diving into cover, Nate running around at points as if he's high..) and the gameplay has been greatly improved overall. I'll write a review on the game once I finish the story mode and have played a few multiplayer matches.

Well, enough of Uncharted 2. I feel like talking about something else, something that's been troubling my mind lately.

I'm taking Driver's Ed. at my school now, and it's sorta frightening, to tell you the truth. I don't want to drive. I don't want to have the responsibilities of being a driver... Not yet, not now. I'm nervous something bad might happen to me on the road. And I don't want to worry about any of that... But alas, my school has made quite the bad mistake. Why you ask? Well, here's why.

My birthday is in July. And.. I'm taking Driver's Ed., now..... Why? Wouldn't it be much easier for me if I took the subject towards the end of the school year, closer to my birthday? So I could actually remember some of the material for the driving test?! *Sigh*

Oh well. I'll just have to manage, I suppose.

Kitty :)

Well that's all for now, guys.. Hope you all are having a good time. Take it easy, everyone.

-Matt

(P.S. Sorry I've been sounding like a Debbie-Downer recently, life just has been really difficult... And I have a ton of projects to work on tomorrow, all of which are due friday. Ugh.. Wish me luck, everyone. I hope things are better in you're lives than mine right now).

Good luck with the driving stuff. I'm not particularly looking forward to it either but the 'rents want me to get my license as soon as I turn 16. Wish I had a class to prep for it.

Nice that you like Uncharted 2 as well, and driving is required in life, sorry.

Wow I sure can't wait to play Uncharted 2 when it gets released! However seeing as funding is my issue right now, I'll wait for xmas as Father Christmas might get me something

Good luck with driving.
I have one question regarding Uncharted 2 if you could please answer or message me back: Is the gunplay improved? Thats the problem I found with the first. Thanks

Sorry to hear you feel that way about driving, I know what you mean though, driving is dangerous, but we all have to learn some day since it's our main way of transportation. I think you will do fine, good luck. Uncharted 2, wow, just wow.... I'm speechless. Let's hope we connect online this time! *crosses fingers* although, I'm not really doing any online until I finish the story like you.

@ebbderelict: I hope they go away soon! I have way too much work on my hands, I have no idea how I'm even typing this right now since I'm so busy.. I should be finishing my work. But thank you @Drummer27384: Thanks man

@AlmightyMax: You don't get a Driver's Ed. class? I'm surprised. @mitu123: Yeah, I know driving is required in life, that doesn't mean I have to like it though. I'm really not looking forward to driving. Hopefully by next year, I will be.

@tyzwain: Cool man, then we can play online Uncharted 2 when you get the game

@M0wen10: I sent you a PM already, but I'll say it again here. The gunplay is greatly improved.. No longer do the enemies twitch crazily when shot @chocolate1325: Well, you don't really need to have played the first game to understand what's going on.. But it certainly helps. Also, I noticed that Naughty Dog threw some hilarious jokes from the first game our way (such as when you look in Nathan Drake's journal, on one of the front pages it shows Sulley's (A.K.A. Victor Sullivan's) different moods, drawn in a very funny way

@SGTiD1NGO: Thanks dude And that's alright, then the game releases in 2 days for you! Can't wait to play Gold Rush online again mate. That was a lot of fun last time

@syler4815162342: Thank you very much

@Ifnot: Yeah, I hope driving isn't as difficult as it seems! And I'm praying that we'll be able to connect online for Uncharted 2. Once we finish the story let's give it a go, see if the connection works

@Superzone: Agreed. Like I said in the blog, my friend and I went on an epic bike journey to get our copies of the game, and it was so worth it.

@hank_101: Thanks! If you have a PS3, you ought to get this game sometime. It's really amazing.

@katamari: Indeed you do! Also, I added you on PSN recently. Just letting you know

I could never ride my bike to GameStop. I'd have to ride on a highway .

Enjoy Uncharted 2!

I'll refrain from saying anything about Among Thieves cause we all know that it's awesome . But dude, you'll be a fine driver! I mean, if you can get the Burnout Paradise Platinum then you obviously have some good driving reflexes . Just have confidence in yourself, keep telling yourself that your the best driver intheworld (which is what I did) and you'll do great!

PS3's exclusive rulez! lol
Posted Oct 15, 2009 8:07 am PT
@red0584: Yeah I'm lucky, there's a Gamestop right near my house actually.. If only I knew that a few years earlier

@Slimdave21: Hehe... You make a good point there about the Burnout Platinum Thanks for the advice man, I really appreciate it
Posted Oct 15, 2009 8:57 pm PT
@Kleeyook: Agreed! Many of my friends who own Xbox 360 say PS3 has no exclusives.. But they are terribly, terribly wrong.

Well...as ya know things get down for everyone from time to time. This seems to be a bad time of year for it.

I hear ya on the driving thing, I've wondered why Erin took it months, months before she could actually try to get her license myself. Hm.

Well, at least you have a game that you're digging to immerse yourself into. That's good.

Dont worry. I finished drivers ed the other week. You will be fine. Just remember you are not Niko Bellic (spelling?) from GTA:IV.
