Hey everyone. You might think this blog is about moving up the ranks in a video game or something, well, it's not. As I mentioned once before in an earlier blog, one of my life-long dreams is to become a professional tennis player. Well, I somehow doubt that will happen at all. But, there's no harm in trying, eh?

And because of this, I've decided to try and play tennis more and more often, whenever I can, so that I can get as great at the sport as possible. I just got home from playing with a few of my friends at the local racquet club, and soon we'll be heading over to the town courts to hit some more. I want to get as good as possible so that come Spring 10', when tennis season at my school starts, I can get a good spot on the team.

When I was at the U.S Open a couple weeks ago, and I saw the tennis court surrounded by hundreds of thousands of people, I had a realization. This realization was that I really, really want to play at that court. I can't remember the name of the stadium which I was at, but gosh darnit I want to play tennis there someday so badly. I know many people don't make it to professional, because it's really tough, but I want to try; I just gotta try. The loser who tried their best is better than the person who didn't try at all. Wish me luck, fellas. It's going to be a difficult road to take, but I'm willing to work for it. Of course, it'll still be a while before anything huge happens... But this is just the beginning. The beginning of a beautiful career... Well, hopefully. Thanks for reading, everyone.

Peace, -Matt

Good luck man. Just keep trying even if things don't seem to be going as well as you'd like. Part of chasing a dream is learning how to overcome disappointment.

As someone who is miserable at his job, I will say that if you have a chance to do something that you love doing, take that chance. If you're willing to put in the work to get better at tennis anything is possible.

At least one of us measly little fiends is working toward something. Good Luck. A slight cliche moment: Follow your dreams and follow them well.

Hi Matt. Don't ever doubt yourself. All things are possible if you are dedicated and driven. I've always enjoyed tennis although not enough to try and become a professional player. You just keep pounding away, keep it at the forefront of your mind that you really want this, and who knows. Have faith in yourself. That is as important a component as anything.
