Desmond Wolfe is so drool worthy.

The title refers to things that are on screen, whether it be the TV or in the cinema/theater. This blog is a continuation of this one here.

On the TV Front

It's been back on TV for a while and I've gotten to DVR it and laugh like I used to when it aired on the WB. The comic strip is still funny as hell too.

Right now I'm just waiting for In Plain Sight to return. It's such a fantastic show. Besides wrestling, that's the only thing I really watch on the show that's new.

I read that Christopher Meloni might be leaving SVU. He wants to pursue more roles and do other things. Apparently he stated that 12 years is long enough. The show won't be the same without him.

If anyone watches the show as much as I do, you'll recall that they had Benson and Stabler trade partners for a while and it was awful. The chemistry just wasn't there. I know most shows can continue, but I don't know how they'll do it here. It's like getting rid of one of the Golden Girls, it just isn't the same.

On the gaming front

I beat Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles

The game was fun. I tend to put a game down when it frustrates me, so that I don't kill my controller or handheld gaming device.

What I enjoyed about the game was the fact that it was a platformer and that it had some fun obstacles in it. Plus the mini games gave you a chance to use your noggin at times. Part II shall be mine soon.

Right now I'm playing

Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy

It's based off of the Anime of the same name. Not the Dual Sympathy part. I'm almost done with it. I've got a stage and a half left. I should be done with it tomorrow and Hotel Dusk will be mine to beat muahahahah.

For this game, I'm on the last RTW (that Road to Wrestlemania) with the tag team champs. I wished with this game that your CAW could have been able to play through it, but such is life. The game is fun and the controls are easy. I'm still working on my CAFinisher.

That's it for me on the gaming front.

Thanks fore reading!

Well howdy to all out there in the interwebz. How's it going. It's been a bit cold over here. We got some snow, really dust, because that's how it looked when it hit the ground. Then it got extremely windy to the point that it tried to kill a few trees. The tree men that work for the county cam eon by to cut some down, especially the branches. Other than that it's been a fairly alright past two weeks. I've been watching a whole bunch of TV and some movies as well as finishing my games.

This is what I've been watching on the .

First up the return of this gem here

When we left Belle last, she had been found out by her new boyfriend Alex that she is a prostitute/call girl. Are they both the same since it's sex you pay for? Well he wasn't all too happy, seeing as how he walked in on her while she was 'working'. Then Ben finally comes to terms with being in love with her. She then does something that basically will never let her have Alex ever again. Such is life.

The newest episode was her, Billie Piper interviews the real Belle de Juor. Dr. Brooke Magnanti. It was an interesting interview to say the least. Other than that, it was BORING. Hopefully this season is just as good as the first one.

This was an excellent show that took a look at some of the most evil people in history and does a psychological profile on them. And of the person died in a mysterious manner, they will try and figure out the reason. It's a fascinating look at history. And I've learned things about these so called 'great' people that I hadn't know before. Example, I never knew Julius Caeser was bisexual.

I've been watching this series since it went into syndication on the Chiller TV Station. It's about a vampire who is a private investigator. He helps people. He reminds me of a poor man's Angel without all the mythos and stuff. Today on the SyFy Channel, there was a marathon of it from 8am-4pm. Although the acting is a bit bad at times, it was a fun show that got killed way too soon. It airs on Mondays on the Chiller TV Channel at 8pm and again at 3am.

This awesome show, before it became preachy and too political for it's own good, has returned this week to syndication. It was a fantastic show that was a great look into the life of those at an all black college for men and women. What started off as a spin-off to The Cosby Show with Lisa Bonet as the lead character, turned into a fun show and launching pad for some other people. Watch it if you like good clean TV.

Debauchery and all that comes with it. I enjoyed this show and I'm not sure why people hate it. With all the nonsense that's on TV, I'm looking at you Oxygen/Lifetime/WE/VH1/MTV/ and to an extent all the major stations that love themselves some reality TV, this makes me like TV even more. I'm so tired of people saying it's too gory or it's too much sex and whatever. Read and learn your history, that's how it was back then. It wasn't always hunky dory. Kudos to Starz! for straying away from the pack. I'm also glad it got picked up for a another season. I dare someone to say that The Tudors are not are naughty as this show. It's loosely based on the man that is Spartacus. Bring on the gore. It's all CGI anyway right?

So suffice to say, that's what I've been watching besides sports and my animated shows. One things I'd like to say to those who say that the new Batman, Iron Man, Spder-Man and not so new Fantastic 4 series are butchering the comics, big whoop. Not everything will always be the same. I've learned that have moved on, I hope you all do too.

Milk-

I already knew the story because it's in a book of assassinations that I own. I needed to see how Sean portrayed Harvey and he did a pretty good job. Good movie too. It's about the first openly gay man to be elected to public office who used this help to get rights for gay folk. I didn't care much for that part, but the acting by all in this flick was great. I'm still trying to figure out why people hated Sean Penn for winning the Oscar. When someone is good, they deserve to be rewarded. Now if they only gave it to him for political reasons, shame on them!

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty-

It's a 1947 black and white film that always has me laughing no matter what. Excellent flick. He just lets his imagination run wild here. I love watching it with my mom. It's loosely based on the short story of the same name.

Mother-

I've seen this movie so many times and I never stop laughing. Debbie Reynolds plays the character to well. They're banter back and forth makes me chuckle. Dry humor is for me.

Watchmen-

As a reader of the comic before the movie, it stayed basically true to it until the end. Without revealing any spoilers, this how I felt about the movie.

The intro to the movie was very well done. It gave you a feel of how things were before the Keene Act.
The graphics and CGI stuff in the flick was very good I never expected anything less from Snyder.

The Rorschach character was played to the T as to what the comic book character stood for. The mask itself was amazingly done. His narration throughout the film gave you an idea for what happened to The Comedian. He not only set the tone for the entire film as to how he and why he acted the way he did, it just made the film even more interesting. His psych evaluation lets you know why he is the way that he is. Great fight scenes from the jail too.

Dr. Manhattan's character was decent. I'm not sure why some let the private parts of the man effect the way they enjoyed or hated the character. He did make many upset as to how distant he was and how he felt humans or life was overrated, when he was once human himself. His role was not huge, but it did make an impact.

His girlfriend's role in the graphic novel was much better on screen. She was serious and relevant too. She wasn't just seen as a sex object or anything like that. Her outfit was hideous though.

The Owl II's part was played extremely well. His jet or whatever it is was modeled well after the novel. It looked cool. Archie as he called her flew well and did her job.

Veidt's arrogance was felt through the movie up until the very end. The way he just showed off his intelligence was rude and yet I ate it up. He literally made me want to kill him.

All in all this was a good film and one of the best from 2009.

What would you do to bring peace in the world? That's one of the biggest questions asked in the movie without asking it outright.

On Monday at 2am one of my favorite episodes of Batman: The Animated Series came on. I was sleepy so I remembered that it was DVR'd for me by me. Then on Wednesday afternoon, my mom and I watched. The way that Edward Nygma was turned into The Riddler was fantastic in my opinion. The guy who pissed him off had a very mean name too, Mockridge. How foul is that? It's basically saying that I'm better than you in a mocking way, especially when he talks.

As the episode progressed on and you see the slime that is Mockridge selling out to Wayne 2 years later, which will create jobs mind you,you get this sense of, we haven't heard the last of Mr. Nygma. I loved how he is just sitting in Mockridge's chair at his desk in his lovely outfit

and just says what he says to him. Then he makes fool out of Mockridge due to how much smarter he is than him.

Whether it followed the comic is irrelevant here. This episode was stupendous. I only wished that we got more Riddler centric eps than that Joker guy. Yeah I said it.

Now let's look at the different looks of The Riddler on TV, who I always felt was a bit effeminate.

From the 1960's cheesy Batman

-This one I didn't mind. I liked the guy who portrayed the character. For those who don't know, Batman was not alwayss this brooding loner. He was a cheese master.

From the 1978 animated show Challenge of the SuperFriends

-When they aired this show on the Cartoon Network and then Boomerang a few year later, I fell in love with it. It was such an awful show. I still think that The Riddler should have been a stripper. His body langue and outfit so calls for it.

From the 1992 animated series B:TAS

-This is the one which I spoke of up above in the first paragrph. A really good look here. That cane is bad-ass!

From the 1997 animated series, New Batman Adventures

-Honestly I don't remember this. But what's familiar is that he looks just like the 1960's Riddler.

From the 2004 animated series, The Batman

-I love, love, love this version of the Riddler. He was weird, he seemed tormented and I don't even think that they revealed his real name.

From that **** 1995 film, Batman Forever

-Good outfit with over the top acting.

Now on to the other half of my blog. This will be devoted to Monday's pro-wrestling madness and fun.

A lot of people will say that the company up north won on Monday. I say they did and they didn't. They won because they maintained their viewers, but they didn't do anything that they normally din't do.

Monday we saw the man that basically made wrestling cool to be a fan of, Hulk Hogan, come in and do his stuff on the mic. I as a fan that has been watching this sport, and yes it is a sport, for 25 years, has basically seen it all.

The show of TNA started off like they always do to get the fans hot for the rest of the show, started with the X Division in a Steel Cage Asylum match. I hated it fbecause well, it's a special match and one should not over due something special (I'm looking at you WWE). While the usual suspects were announced to the ring, we got a short match and a DQ, yes a DQ in a **** No DQ type of match. Then on top of that Homicide couldn't get out of the cage. Jeff Hardy's music hit and I knew it was him. He looked so out of place. But the crowd went crazy. Who the **** gets DQ'd in a Steel Cage like match?!

Basically for the first hours it was just stalling for Hogan to appear. What I would have done is I'd have him in his dressing room, but not shown, that way we KNOW he's there, and that walk to the ring from the back would have been awesome. But whatever, he showed up and he worked the crowd like no other. Bischoff comes out and stirs the pot. Fat Hall and Sean, who both look and sounded high or drunk cut some promos. Well when that happened, I knew 1996-1997 had returned. They had returned. You know who . Hogan was in all black after all.

The Woman's match that was just brutal to watch was the ODB vs Tara one. It was decent, but too damn shirt. Thank God ODB had on shorts too. Too much panties for my eyes.

Now that tag match between SariTaylor and HamadaKong was fantastic. Whoever doesn't know Hamada and how good she is, needs to go to youtube or dailymotion. This lady is just fantastic. And her family are wrestlers too. Kong is just plain what her name is AWESOME. She can do no wrong in my eyes.

Raven and Stevie got squashed in 30 seconds by Morgan and Hernandez. They remind me of what most promotions do when they don't know what to do with good talent, put them in a tag team. Shame on you TNA, Shame on you.

What I'd like to know is, WTF was up with the Beautiful People and the strip poker nonsense? It was stupid and for TNA to go that route like that other company up north did once upon a time is stupid. Let them wrestle and talk and be pretty.

Then we get a solid match between the greatness that is Desmond Wolfe and Double D. I liked it, but once again it was too short. There was a lot of talking in this show. I know why they did it, it was just too much. And will someone please tell me what the hell was on Orlando Jordan's head on Monday.

The one thing in this show that really pissed me off was how Double J was treated. He cut a great promo which was all true and then he got **** on by Hogan. I don't know if that was a shoot, a worked shoot, a work, or just plain old being mean. It was just way out of left field what Hogan said. I'll assume that the seeds were sown for some type of feud between the two.

I don't care about Joe, so I watched football.

I did however watch every single minute of that main event. Nothing on Monday was better than that. It saved the show and it got some good rating for that half hour.

Now how did TNA win? It was the atmosphere and chaos that was created by one man and one man only .

One other thing I'd like to touch is that there is no such thing as a WWF/E reject. Why is it that in other sports when when someone jumps to a rival team or goes elsewhere they aren't considered rejects? Is Shaquille O'Neal a reject that went from Orlando, to LA, to Miami, to Phoenix and now to Cleveland? He is an established player who wants to do something different and help a team.

And why is it that when the WWE hires ROH guys or other indy guys, they aren't called rejects? But when TNA or when WCW did it they are? It's an asinine thought and saying. No one is a reject. They needed a job and TNA was there to offer them a contract. Everyone has to remember it's a business, a business like any other.

Thanks for reading.

This was terrible. What I'd liked to know who actually gave this movie a go?

The Mummy franchise was good in the beginning and then they decided to go in an entirely different direction that was awful.
