So it's been over a week since anyone's seen my cat

I have come to terms with the fact that he will not be returning home, although I will always carry a tiny glimmer of hope of his possible return because I have no clue what happened, i don't even know whether he's gone to kitty heaven or not

At least with my last cat, I knew he had gotten run over by a car so I knew he was not coming back, but not with this one

My brother's pretty sad about it
Everyday he asks whether or not we've seen the cat and I even find myself looking around outside every time I'm leaving or coming home
It's kinda sad really, my brother had been slightly more irritable and generally mad when he first went missing, but he's been slowly been getting better with the situation

Anyways.....
Rest in Peace my poor kitty, wherever you may be.... You will be missed

Sorry to hear about you cat. My cats live inside. The only time they get out, is if they run out. When Chester gets out, which he always seems to want to, he gets scared and becomes a wild animal, totally different then when he's inside. Last time it happened, my aunt had left the door open, and no one noticed he was missing for about an hour, I had to use a box and a broom to get him, that is after I searched for him forever. The time before that is when I really learned what he was like outside. Once again, he'd gotten out when no one noticed, and by the time I figured it out, he'd been out for a while. I went outside and found him in the bushes, but he had been scared by something, probably a car, and did NOT want me to pick him up. He bit my hand and my lip. Yeah, my lip. He never bites. He also scratched me pretty good. Let's just say, I learned the way to go is with turkey bate, a box, and a broom.

Wow Maisy, your cat is vicious My cat was actually pretty tame.
He already recognized my car cuz whenever he'd be outside and he'd see my car get home, he'd stand at the end of the walkway in front of my house, look at me and wait to let him in. If I took a bit longer to get out of the car, then he'd start meowing at me to get my attention.
Oh, how I'll miss him....

Awww. My family once had a cat that ran away for over a month. My parents replaced it, then, on the moving day, it showed up on the front porch. Unfortunately about a year later it was hit by a car and severely hurt its leg. We had to put her down. Her name was Lydia... I was three.

Sorry to read about the cat, if its one thing I know cats live by the rule "its nothing personal, no hard feelings". You pet them and they walk away, "INP/NHF", you let them inside and they run to the basement, "INP/NHF", and sadly, they sneak outside and curiosity takes them far away, "INP/NHF". Hope things are going better now.
