I am now adicted to That 70s show. I'm not sure why. I never really cared for it much during it's run, but now that it's over, I feel like I missed out.
Luckily it's on like 6 time a day (Thank you FX, UPN and MyTV stations!) And Netflix for the DVD's.

Season finales bother me. I understand that ever since "Who shot JR" they all end in cliffhangers. I have accepted that and know that no season finale will end happily. However, I still get angry when the show ends in a horrible way that takes the characters in ridiculous arcs that will anger the fans.
Example 1: 7th Heaven
All the kids were having twins. Probable? Probably not. It was ridiculous. And now, with it being picked up by CW I don't know how they will be able to dig themselves out of this hole. And the Simon/Sandy exchange at the end, it was more cryptic and brought up more questions than it answered. Very frustrating. I was bored by the end.
Example 2: Gilmore Girls
Why is Luke so stupid? And why would Lorelei sleep with Christopher? And why would Rory fall apart when Logan left? Didn't she used to be strong?
Example 3: The O.C.
Marissa died! What the hell? How will the show recover from that? It changes the whole direction of the show.
Example 4: Scrubs
A random pregnancy scare, or a pregnancy. Terrible cliched way to end a season. And it's just like 7th Heaven. It's stupid if all the couples are all pregnant at the same time. And so out of the blue. Plus it was set up that all the couples were happy until the last few seconds. Crap!
Example of good finales. Ones that leave you hanging but are satisfying because they weren't ridiculous or took the characters in strange directions.
Example 1: Grey's Aantomy
Yes there were many unanswered questions at the end. Who will Meredith choose? Will Burke regain control in his hand? Will Callie and George be okay? Will Izzie really leave the program? But these were satisfying questions. Somewhat expected. Not too out there. And as for Denny dying, you would have to agree that in order for the show to move on he would have to die. His marriage to Izzie would have complicated things.
Example 2: What about Brian
Am I angry that Dave slept with that woman? Yes. But it needed to happen. And Adam realizing that something might be up between Marjorie and Brian, again, very necessary. As was Marjorie sabotaging Brian's relationship. It had to happen so he would be mad at her just as she was realizing her feelings. A great finale.
Example 3: Related
OK, so it was months ago, but this was a satisfying season finale (not series finale but it wasn't picked up). All the sisters ended in good places. Ginny realized she wanted to be with Bob, but he had already left on tour, and she doesn't cheat on him which was perfect. And the parallels with the mom were perfect. Rose ended up with Joel, Marjee ended her toxic relationship and Anne and Danny started to work things out. It was a great end. I wish it was picked up for another year.
Example 4: Will and Grace
I'll be the first to admit that the last few seasons were kind of sucky but this was the perfect ending to this series. A look into the future to see that they always had their ups and downs but that they ultimately end in happy relationships and end up friends int he end, all four of them. Perfect. A little cliche, but that's ok.
Finales get me angry especially if they're bad.

La la la la la.
No one reads my blog anyway. Do I get points for posting things?
I could just post nonsense and it wouldn't matter.

Patrick Dempsey is great on Grey's Aantomy, and I never really knew him before that. Then I looked through my DVD collection and discovered that I did know him and had four movies...

tdakoo must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could tdakoo possibly have for not rating a single film?
