Well the 25th of April was ANZAC Day (Australia New Zealand Army Corps) which is the most importent day in my year. However this year has been a bit more frustrating. With the way the law is written retail is prohibited before 1pm, I unfortunatly work in retail and more to the point for a company whose only focus is money. What was frustrating was that I had to work... it's sacralige, not because I wanted a free day off, but because I wanted to honour our fallen. The problem is, if you are working, you don't have the time or the money to be able to attend a dawn service, you then go home and return to work in the early afternoon. ANZAC Day needs to be similar to Good Friday and Christmas. It is a Stat day that it is Illegal to open on. It's disrespectful to do other wise.

Nick NZ also showed the US KCA's on ANZAC Day, I was working so I had to catch up 4 o clock Monday morning. Personally I was not impressed with the coverage, and as far as I am concerned if that is what they are going to show us they shouldn't have bothered in the first place. If you are going to do a job do it right. The main problem was, they did not even show all the awards, It's like cutting the last quarter out of a basketball game and then refusing to say the result. In not showing some of the awards it also meant New Zealand viewers were lied to. We were told we would be seeing appearances by certain people.... so I expect we will be seeing appearances by these people.... but that's not what happened. I am not sure how Nickelodeon operates it's regional channels, but in the case of Nick NZ it is done so poorly.

But I am in one of the moods, I feel like complaining, so I feel the need to complain about a couple of things just for the sake of it. I know everyone loves Hollywood... but it was depressing watching the KCA's, California as a whole has no culture..... couldn't they have been held somewhere unpredictiable and different. I could say New York, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver, Cleveland. They are all more interesting places. I don't really care about where it was held, location in this aspect isn't something I am too fussed about. The second thing is.... they call those blimps? Anyone who knows me or has read almost anything I have written should be able to atest that I am full of more hot air.

Anywho, Peace and Chicken Grease

Rock on,

Sam.
