Just started watching the new show Swingtown. It's not great by any means, but I think it has potential to develop into soapy Wisteria Lane like fun.

Watched the first season of Weeds on DVD and I enjoyed it, but I have heard that suspension of disbelief becomes more of a necessity to watch this show. I especially enjoy Kevin Nealon in this show because it's like looking at an old version of people I knew back in high school and college.

Watched the entire series of BBC's Coupling, which was a cute and funny show. I understand why there were comparisons between it and Friends/Seinfeld/and Sex and the City, but I don't think that it was nearly as funny as any of those three shows. Mostly enjoyed it because of Jack Davenport as Steve and Gina Bellman (of Jekyll) as Jane.

Finished the complete HBO show Rome and so far this was my favorite of all the new shows that I have been watching. Everyone in the cast was very good and I really liked the way that it ended.

Summer TV may not be that great be that great, but at least The Venture Brothers are back. Project Runway and Eureka will both start soon. Go Team Venture!

RATS! I missed the Swingtown premiere! The commercials for it looked so 70s trashy/sweetly-sordid, that it definitely had me intrigued. I at least wanted to ee that first eppisode. I'll have to google CBS and see if I can locate it. See you later!

Hello, I was just jumping through blogs and landed here.

I was not a fan of BBC's "Coupling" but it was better than the US version. *Nodding head, agreeing w/ your opinion* Never heard it compared to those 3 particular shows - no way.

*Reading your About Me* Have you read LKH "Blood Noir" yet? I'm on a waiting list to get the new Stephanie Plum from local library (saving $). I'm usually good about reserving early, but I missed the boat on this one, so I'm number 55. Not familiar w/ Fforde - I think I'll give him a try while I'm waiting.

Sparkle: I'm glad you will get a chance to catch up. Le me know what you think.

Harihudson: I read your blog about Blood Noir and completely agree with what you said. It's always better to get the Stephanie Plum books from the library. They are good and I love them, but I'm not willing to shed $25.00 for the hardcovers.
