Hurray!

(This is mine.)

Had my first lesson last Friday. I learntthe anatomy of the guitar first, and how to hold it. Not a lot, but it's a good start.

Nice, it's always a good idea to start on acoustic first. The strings are thicker and toughen your fingers up faster. What make is your guitar?

@AirGuitarist87: I'm gonna check out price for an electric guitar and amp for Christmas, all depending on my progress though. I have no problem with acoustic though. And yeh, my fingers hurt like hell. Dx
The make is 'Nevada,' I believe.

Sweet. I just started a few months ago myself. Be prepared for some serious finger pains though, the strings cut into your fingertips at first.

Nice, I'm not as well written in acoustic makes as I am electric, but sounds like a sound investment.

I remember learning Stay Together For The Kids by Blink 182 on the acoustic when I first started and thinking I was an absolute guitar god.

Yeh, learning new songs is a great feeling. Wallow in the ecstasy while it lasts.

I like it when learning something you get a slow start. You know just the basics first with no prerequisite knowledge.

Anyway, its nice to learn sth new. Have fun.

Well, good luck. Always good to see someone picking up an instrument, though I'm personally not a big fan of acoustics. Too big for me.

I remember my stint at learning the guitar. Gave up in a week. Just couldn't put in the effort it demanded. I may pick it up again later in life.

I've always wanted to play guitar, but I have no talent or patience.
Good luck!
