Dude, aside from the Wii, I'm not really feeling the 7th gen. And if over-priced, propietary tech is where gaming is going - then I'll keep my happy ass in the 6th gen. It's nothing aganst you, so don't get offended. But I really DON'T like where PS3 and XBox 360 have pushed gaming. Development costs are so high that if a game doesn't sell 3 million copies (and many don't), the dev is broke and in dept. BC is treated purely as an afterthought - if thought of at all. And everything is "kill something". And let's get real...$400 for a "gaming" device is pretty silly. As is $60 for a "game". I'd spend $400 on a Dual-Core PC first. It'll do a Hell of a lot more than just "games". The Wii actually addresses the issues I give a damn about. Wii is reasonably priced, reasonably priced games, a wide range of game types, has full BC, tons of Old School downloadables, etc... With the exception of Wii (which I'm not going to own for a while), I'm happy with the 6th gen. Thank you very much!

I'm not offended and you're right up to some point. I like the next-gen games, but there mostly not as good as the old-skool ones. I dunno, I agree with you but not completely. lol
